Director, Data Security (Hybrid in Orange County, CA)
Job Description An enterprise level client is looking for a Director of Data Security to join their Information Security Organization. This Director will manages a department or multiple teams of technical professionals and managers from various disciplines. Provide long-term IT solutions, ensuring the protection of information and systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, inspection, recording, or destruction. Strategy & Roadmap: Design, build, and drive the strategy, methodology, and roadmap for securing data assets. Leadership: Manage and oversee the implementation of data loss prevention mechanisms, fostering an outcomes-oriented culture. Team Management: Lead teams for cloud services to provide data security for SaaS applications (e.g., Box, Dropbox, GitHub, Google Apps, Slack, Salesforce). Operational Leadership: Provide engineering and operational leadership to the global team. Daily Responsibilities: Lead DLP analysts and engineering teams to design solutions that enhance security posture. Performance Tracking: Track and report key performance indicators, identify gaps, and recommend solutions. Skills and Requirements - 10+ years of experience in technical and business development within Data Security    Experience implementing security controls in SaaS platforms like Workday, O365, Box.com, SalesForce, etc.    Hands on experience with Cloud Access Security Brokers, MCAS, AIP and similar tools  - Experience leveraging protection technology subject matter expertise to design, build, and implement tools to safeguard from cyber risks for data in use, in motion, and at rest  - Expert with Data Protection technologies (CASB, proxy, network DLP, endpoint DLP, data discovery, key management, tokenization, encryption, DSPM, SSPM, etc.); seen as the 'go to' to person for the toughest technical or leadership challenges  - Extensive experience with architecture design of large-scale data platforms, machine learning, analytics, and data-drive applications  - Experience solutioning security safeguards around: end user created data, Saas stored data, custom build cloud application data  - Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Certified Professional), SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Management), CCNA, CCNP, MSCE preferred null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
