We are seeking a passionate and strategic Digital Health Director to join our growing team in China.  In this role, you will help us transform billions of patients’ lives through technology, data, and innovative ways of working. The Digital Health Director is a key role of Evinova China. This role will report to General Manager of China directly with a dotted-line to global Head of Digital Health.

This role will work closely with Evinova China GM to set the Digital Health strategy for Evinova China, review the landscape of providers and the requirements for differentiation, and evaluates the business needs with regard to Digital Health strategy and implementation in China including localisation for China requirements in the platform.

The focus of this role includes to work with Digital Health Strategy Therapy Area (TA) leaders to develop digital strategies for clinical trials and support clinical teams to implement appropriate digital solutions.  You will also work with the Innovative Patient Recruitment team to ensure digital strategies are aligned across therapy areas and with our Science and Product organisations to define enterprise level investments and external partnerships. Transform clinical development, through development of patient and site centric digital solutions that improve access to clinical trials for all patients, whilst delivering faster and more efficiently for both site and sponsor.Improve outcomes for our patients and trials through remote data collection and patient support, providing enriched data sets to support regulatory submissions and differentiated labelling.

You will:

Work closely with key partners to build the Digital Health Strategy for a given product. This entails bringing together subject matter experts in clinical trial patient identification, recruitment and retention; novel endpoints and clinical outcome assessments; decentralised clinical trials and other digital capabilities in order to develop and optimise strategies for the product portfolio.Improve our digital health innovation readiness by building and maintaining a library of solutions and practices alongside subject matter experts. Collaborate with Evinova product teams to prioritize capability development which drives business value and patient outcomes, resulting in the development of an industry leading Digital organization.Evangelize critical initiatives in strategy, governance and the adoption of new ways of working by creating communities of practice to help build capabilities. Upskill the clinical teams on digital health solutions, changing their approach on the opportunities for adoption and value generation of digital health technologies.Ensure effective and transparent risk, opportunity and issues management at strategic, tactical and operational levels.Oversee governance approved cases are delivered within tolerance, on time, cost and quality working with functional management as required to resolve issues.Grow and maintain internal and external relationships with partners, customers, key markets, external leaders and our patients to ensure prioritized needs are met in everything we do.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field.7+ years of working experience in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO with robust understanding of Drug Development Processes and therapeutic Clinical Trials.Broad knowledge of the current challenges and opportunities digital health tools offer to improve clinical trials.Practical “hands-on” experience in Digital Health Technologies that support decentralized clinical trials (e.g. eConsent, eCOA, telemedicine, innovative patient recruitment, remote patient monitoring tools, etc.).Ability to lead and influence strategically and persuade thoughtfully, to acquire desired outcomes while maintaining effective, positive, organizational relationships.Excellent communication skills, able to build clarity from ambiguity.Prior experience in working collaboratively in a cross functional setting with internal as well as external partners.Strong influencing and senior collaborator leadership skills.Ability to challenge the status quo, take ownership and hold self and others accountable.Transformational leadership of functional and cross functional team.Passion for customers, representing the needs of multiple customers in decision making.Well-developed Project management skills, including managing vendors, budgets, timelines, and risks.Stakeholder management skill with proven negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal leadership skills.Effective problem and conflict solving skills.High change and learning agilityAble to cut through complexity and identify key issues and solutionsGoal-oriented, dedicated to achieving results and positive attitude.Fluent English and Mandarin, both can be used as working language.

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

Advanced degree (Doctorate and/or MBA).Device, software development and/or clinical project management.Comprehensive understanding of dynamics affecting the pharmaceutical industry and needs for transformation.Ability to work globally including international travel.Well-developed project management skills, including handling vendors, budgets, timelines, and risks.
