The Director, Trane Supply Digital will provide thought leadership, influence and hands-on engagement in order to develop, direct, and implement the Digital, AI and eCommerce roadmap for the Trane Supply Americas strategic business unit (SBU) at Trane Technologies. This role will report to Chief Digital Officer and work very closely with the Trane Supply SBU President for the company as well as other senior leaders in the organization. This role requires a leader with a strong technology background coupled with an astute understanding of business. This position requires a strong understanding of current and emerging eCommerce & digital trends, technologies, and customer behaviors. The role will lead a team of digital experts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a world-class eCommerce platform for Trane Supply.

Where is the work:
Hybrid position located in Davidson NC
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
• Develop and drive the overall digital strategy of Trane Supply, aligning it with the business objectives and long-term vision.
• Stay up to date with the latest eCommerce trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors to identify strategic opportunities and potential risks. This includes payment processing methods; visual search using generative and spatial AI; logistics integration with eCommerce; automated suggestions; parts indexing; technology stack review; integration with enterprise systems such as product information management (PIM); and data governance.
• Collaborate with senior executives and department heads to define eCommerce/digital priorities, key performance indicators, and success metrics.
• Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of www.tranesupply.com as we build out a world-class eCommerce platform focused on the Supply BU. Ensure that the program is executed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to leverage their expertise and drive successful program execution.
• Identify and develop new strategic vendor/partner relationships
• Monitor and report on the performance of the eCommerce program and associated digital initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to optimize results and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, product, and customer experience to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives across the organization.
• Stay current on industry best practices and regulations related to eCommerce sales, digital marketing, data privacy, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance across digital channels.
• Participate in executive-level discussions and strategic planning sessions, with the goal of achieving $500M in eCommerce revenue over the next 3-5 years.
What you will bring:
• 15+ years’ experience in global companies in advanced technology, leading a business that delivers value based on software solutions
• Experience working with developed markets and ideally in companies that derive a significant portion of revenue from eCommerce, digital services and solutions. Ideally, work experience from eCommerce giants like Amazon, Lowes and Home Depot
• Proven experience developing and leading strategy for the commercialization of technology
• Excellent personal leadership, change management and ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally—can conduct a dialogue that is intellectually honest, brings out diversity of ideas and creates the appropriate integration/connectivity
• Developer of talent and capabilities; great people leader. Can select and lead both people with deep expertise and people with breadth
• Excellent ability to represent the Company externally and build alliances
• Bachelors degree and/or Masters degree in Engineering, IT or related field, from a leading academic institution, plus business education (MBA preferred); professionally active in societies, professional associations and networks
