Preferred Experience

Bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, supply chain, purchasing or related field. Master's degree in business, finance or related discipline.9+ years experience in supply chain, operations strategy or corporate business development.Six Sigma/Lean Certification and demonstrated application preferred.Experience in transportation and delivery route management of large fleet of delivery vehicles, including remote line-haul locations.

Job Summary

Responsible for directing all operations in a distribution center environment of approximately $150M or greater in revenue. Lead in supporting the distribution network by managing redistribution activities of $20M of inventory or greater. Manage operational excellence and process improvement initiatives while ensuring customer expectations are exceeded. Operate as strategic partner with logistics and supply chain leadership in establishing and adhering to operating budgets.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Develops and oversees annual operating budgets in support of the company's financial goals and responsible for P&L management. Completes cost justification and determines ROI. Provides effective leadership of direct reports to ensure efficient distribution operations and adherence to policy, procedure and process excellence as well as developing and managing performance of employees.Ensures well being of associates through compliance with all safety and Hazmat rules and regulations, legal regulations and human resource policies.Drives initiative execution focus in critical areas including inventory, import logistics, transportation, warehouse operations and delivery management.Ensures appropriate staffing levels by effectively forecasting resources needed to meet service, financial and operational requirements.Oversees change management efforts to ensure seamless, flawless supply chain execution and engages support from senior leadership and field teams.Protects the well-being of associates and environment by ensuring a culture of safety awareness and strict compliance to all EHS and Hazmat policies and procedures.

Solutions require analysis and investigation.Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
