The Director, E-Commerce Fraud is responsible for leading and executing GameStop's comprehensive e-commerce fraud prevention strategy. This position will collaborate cross-functionally to align fraud mitigation efforts with company objectives, ensuring the protection of assets and the integrity of online transactions. The role includes managing vendor partnerships for fraud prevention tools, identifying and addressing fraud trends, and minimizing financial losses due to chargebacks, theft, and other fraudulent activities. Additionally, this leader will oversee a team of fraud analysts, providing strategic guidance, training, and performance management.
This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement a forward-looking e-commerce fraud prevention strategy to address current and emerging risks.Collaborate across departments to ensure fraud prevention measures support broader organizational goals.Team Development:Recruit, train, and lead a team of fraud analysts.Oversee ongoing training programs, update resources, and drive professional development within the team.Fraud Mitigation:Manage vendor relationships, evaluate fraud prevention tools, and recommend new solutions to enhance system capabilities.Monitor and analyze fraud trends to ensure real-time identification and resolution.Develop and maintain processes for manual order reviews, chargeback disputes, and fraud investigations.Performance Analysis & Reporting:Collect, analyze, and report on fraud data, providing insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.Create and distribute monthly performance summaries outlining fraud-related risks and mitigation outcomes.Collaboration & Compliance:Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support investigations and ensure compliance with company policies.Resolve escalated issues with professionalism, adhering to established fraud prevention objectives.Core Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Asset Protection, E-Commerce, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).Minimum 8 years of e-commerce fraud prevention, forensic investigation, and leadership experience.Expert understanding of card-not-present fraud, including identity theft, application fraud, reshipping schemes, and triangulation fraud.Experience with digital products i.e. gift cards and money laundering through gift card recyclingStrong knowledge of financial risk management in e-commerce environments and effective fraud mitigation techniques.Proficiency with fraud prevention tools, data analysis platforms, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.Proven ability to work collaboratively under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.Demonstrates a drive for results with a proactive, action-oriented mindset.High emotional intelligence, maturity, and professionalism in interactions with team members and stakeholders.Commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and integrity.Recognized for building and retaining high-performing teams through effective coaching, recognition, and mentorship.Monitor and optimize fraud processes and team performance, driving continuous improvement.Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leadership.Experience with Accertify Interceptas is highly preferredFull-time store positions at GameStop are also eligible to participate in incentive programs, health benefits, paid time off, 401 (k), employee discount and a casual work environment.
