The Samsung Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Category Management to lead the Cooking and Dishwashing Home Appliance Categories. This role will have P&L responsibility, driving strategies, plans, and execution to deliver daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual targets. A successful candidate will be able to define plans to deliver financial targets, drive cross-functional execution, work with data and merchandising teams to create a streamlined consumer journey, work with marketing teams to track traffic and conversion on daily basis and provide direction on adjustments to manage to overall revenue goals, track competitor activities and changes and adjust plans accordingly, and prepare monthly presentations for senior leadership with data-driven learnings and action plans.

Role and Responsibilities

Co-Lead the eCommerce strategy, business planning, analytics, and website experience for the Digital Appliance teamLead and manage the bottoms-up planning and forecasting based on category promotional and marketing plansCollaborate with category management, performance marketing, product and finance teams for the Quarterly Commercial Deal (QCD) planning process and manage all program approvals from key internal stakeholdersOwn the tracking and maintenance of promotional spending forecast and maintain a monthly closing process based on actualsResponsible for monthly target planning process by consolidating category-level plans into target financial planManage current quarter weekly sellout performance management for all categories based on sellout performance trend. Maintain a high degree of accuracy on sellout forecasting achievement rateManage revenue risk to target plan and actively lead gap closure initiatives by securing program approvals to generate incremental revenueLead product launch planning and forecasting for flagship products with a high degree of accuracy to minimize stock outs and aging riskLead highly functional and agile business planning and cross functional teamsPerform promotional ROI analysis and develop monthly reporting with key insights and planning implications

Skills and Qualifications

7+ years of related experience in one or more of the functional areas: category management, product marketing, business planning, sales planning or strategic planning and analytics rolesStrong experience working in the large Home Appliance industry or category requiredStrong quantitative and analytical capabilities with high proficiency in data analysis using excel, tableau preferredPrior experience leading small teams with the ability to engage and develop talentExceptional communication skills with ability to collaborate and build effective partnerships at all levels of the organizationStructured and process oriented approach to solve business and operational problems with a highly agile approachAbility to operate seamlessly in a matrix organization and manage stakeholder across multiple lines of businessesBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field required.  Master’s Degree Preferred
