How you’ll make an impact: We're looking for a skilled Director of Employee Relations to lead our efforts in cultivating a positive and productive workplace environment. You'll develop and implement strategies to strengthen employee relations and enrich our organizational culture. Collaborating closely with senior management and People + Culture Business Partners, you'll ensure compliance with applicable employment laws while advancing our strategic objectives. In this role, you'll provide guidance to managers and employees, resolving complex workplace issues and safeguarding SiriusXM's culture in line with our values and policies. This position demands exceptional judgment and the ability to deliver effective solutions across diverse challenges. What you’ll do: Working in close collaboration with Legal, Security, and other stakeholders, act as a consultant and advisor to People + Culture Business Partners and management for seamless support in addressing ER issues effectively, including complex accommodations and performance management. Develop and execute comprehensive Employee Relations strategies that drive a high performance culture and are aligned with organizational values and objectives. Influence and impact SiriusXM’s employee experience and culture through: Leading investigations, mediations, and negotiations to resolve disputes effectively Contributing to policy development and training Fostering trust, respect, and open communication Implementing policies for fairness and consistency Coach, present, and train on company policies and relevant employment laws to ensure understanding and adherence. Develop and maintain best practices and processes for resolving ER issues, including investigative and accommodation matters. Partner with Employment Counsel, People + Culture Business Partners and other teams to assess organizational effectiveness and implement integrated action plans. Establish metrics to measure ER program effectiveness; prepare reports for senior management on ER activities and outcomes. Analyze ER data for trends and root causes, manage ER data requests, and support ER initiatives across SiriusXM. Oversee development, implementation, and communication of ER processes, policies, and procedures. Provide guidance on Performance Improvement Plans and disciplinary actions. Other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: Proven experience as a Director of Employee Relations or similar role, preferably in a media, entertainment, high tech, or similar fast-paced environment. Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience with emphasis in Human Resources or related field Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field preferred. 10+ years of general Human Resources experience, with at least 7 years in Employee Relations In depth knowledge of employment laws, including ADA and EEO. Experience working within an ER ticketing system strongly preferred Ability to proactively share a point of view, appropriately challenge assumptions, and take initiative to resolve problems Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make decisions while keeping partners and leaders informed Strong conflict management and mediation skills Business acumen, strong decision-making and root cause/analysis skills Ability to assess sensitive and complex employee relations issues in a confidential, objective, and systematic manner Experience managing multiple projects with strong time management and prioritization skills Strong written/verbal communication and facilitation/presentation skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
