Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans. **About the Director, Engineering Services Position** As the Director of Engineering Services, this position leads the technical engineering support of our projects and asset operations through a centralized team of Controls, Hydraulics, and Instrumentation Engineers. These teams provide day-to-day support of current operations, responding to operational events and changes from the field and control centers supporting future operations to system optimization, and sustaining capital and growth projects. The Director, Engineering Services is expected to interface with both growth and operational teams with the expectation to maintain the consistent application of our engineering standards. To support the organization’s strategic objectives, the Director, Engineering Services is responsible for leading the team of subject matter experts for controls, hydraulics, and other engineering disciplines, and their review of sustaining capital maintenance and growth projects. Additionally, the Director, Engineering Services will lead coordinated efforts between these teams to provide solutions to challenging technical problems that arise from the operation of our assets. **What You Get to Do:** + Directly assigned activities to ensure that team functional responsibilities are performed and prioritized following corporate strategic objectives, industry standards, and customer expectations and provide direction for Eng Services programs and roadmap to future state. + Provide input for Engineering Program Management (ENGPM) initiatives including the 5-yr strategic planning, annual work plan development, budgeting, project challenging, approval processes, and forecasting. + Manage functional process responsibilities including, organizational structure requirements, personnel position descriptions and development, the strategy and philosophy for operation and administration, and contractual obligations. + Direct proper forecasting of operating costs including, annual budget constraints and expenditure guidelines and limits, while ensuring proper integration of technical capabilities and people skills to achieve maximum profitability and quality customer service. + Develop and implement workflow processes including, each process's required interfaces, inputs, and the desired outputs necessary to properly perform the team’s functional responsibilities and meet customer expectations. + Develop and Drive the Corporate Strategic Initiatives associated with Engineering Services to include KPIs and trend analyses. + Understand and contribute to all aspects of the Corporate Strategic Initiatives regarding the value of risk reduction integrity efforts weighed against other efforts associated with operations, infrastructure, and growth. + Develop due diligence, engineering analysis, and cost estimates for strategic business acquisitions and alliances for corporate growth. + Lead all personnel working on asset integrity management through goal development, performance management, consensus building, and influence management to affect continuous improvement with communication, workflow processes, standards, procedures, specifications, safety protocols, and guidance. + Continuously evaluate staffing requirements necessary to accomplish team responsibilities. Direct with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources representatives the screening of qualified applicants, recommendation of candidate hiring, and position employees to accomplish Team duties effectively. **What You Bring to the Table:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education. + Ideally, 15+ years in a combination of staff position and leadership in Oil/Gas Integrity Management and/or Engineering. + Strong strategic planning skill set. + Demonstrated knowledge and competency in analytics processes, procedures, and applications. + Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments. + Self-motivated, have a phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth. **Got Extra to Bring?** + Master’s degree in Engineering field of study from an accredited college or university. + Ideally 10 years of Pipeline Industry experience. + Professional Engineer certification/licensure. **Advantages of Working at Colonial Pipeline Company:** Getting to work for a company that helps to meet our county’s energy needs and keeps us moving!
