Position Summary
Direct the program management functions for PG&E’s enterprise geographic information system (GIS) program, Elevate . The core responsibility of this role is to create and execute the strategic vision for delivering the program scope on time and on budget. This includes leading the program PMO to: design and maintain a program plan on a page (POP) and tactical implementation plan(s) (TIP), develop a strategy for identifying, tracking and cascading the appropriate program metrics, and organize and execute daily, weekly and monthly operating reviews. The Director leads teams of project/program managers, analysts and support functions, such as contract specialists. These teams will partner with procurement to take ownership of sourcing strategies for the program, maintain functional metrics, track contractual commitments and deliverables, and manage a calendar of program activities, workshops and governance forums alongside an overall program deployment strategy and roadmap. The director will staff a team made up of internal coworkers and external consultants to perform these functions.
Also partners with the Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization’s (EB&TM) Value Management Office and the GIS Center of Excellence’s (CoE) appointed IT Project Manager to consult on rate case strategies, participate in annual and multi-year budgeting, and track changes to the program business case. The core responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting through the appropriate leadership forums and operating reviews, business plan deployment (BPD) process, and to the board of directors via quarterly updates and following the Enterprise Project Governance (EPG) gate review board (GRB) process.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be the Oakland General Office (OGO).

Job Responsibilities
Develop the high-level strategic vision for the program portfolio, including bringing together sourcing strategies, business cases, regulatory strategies, KPI management, and budget adherence. Oversee the development of a long-term portfolio strategy for the Elevate Program and GIS at the enterprise level, tracking and accommodating interdependencies, ensuring cost effectiveness, and maintaining deployment timelines. Create and align key metrics for program portfolio for accurate and timely reporting to PG&E management, board of directors and regulatory entities. Oversee performance management, including maintaining formal job responsibility documents, individual goals and development plans, and ensuring the team is aligned with the company and organization’s vision, goals, values, strategies, and operating plan. Oversee long-term plans for program portfolio. Promote a culture of safety, and ensure safety and ethics compliance. Develop sourcing strategies for multiple consulting firms to align on program needs, leadership priorities, and business objectives. Identify and understand program needs and problems, industry landscape, and risks and opportunities of changes to scope, deployment plan, and business case. Create and oversee metrics to ensure excellent administration of the program, which may include program budgets; resource allocation; other deliverables. Drive cross-cutting initiatives and ensure consistent delivery across programs where appropriate. Recruit/select, communicate expectations, foster employee engagement, coach, develop, mentor, recognize and reward employees in order to drive performance and results.

Compensation
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle of the range ($235,000), the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range for the Bay Area is:
Minimum: $174,000
Maximum: $296,000
If headquartered outside of the Bay Area, a reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $165,000
California Maximum: $281,000
Background Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent related work experience 10 years of relevant experience
