The Director, Enterprise Project and program office will be responsible for leading a team managing the project portfolio and driving the development and roll out of new offers to address the needs of our Enterprise RIA clients to support our strategic objectives.   The Director will work with senior leaders to curate ideas for new offers and services.  The Director will work closely with Advisor Services senior leaders and strategy team to finalize approved project portfolio.  Under the Director, the team will partner with functional leaders within AS and across Schwab to lead holistic strategic design of offer components, manage the build of offers and development and execution of "go to market plans".  The Director will lead a project to evolve our offer and coverage model for TAMPs and IBDs.

 

The role will require working cross-functionally with all levels within the AS enterprise and other Schwab organizations to ensure strategic and tactical input is provided in all phases of offer design from conception through rollout.

 

 Key Outcomes:

Lead the Enterprise client project portfolio and centralize the projects into a single portfolio. Lead the team in prioritizing customizations and new offers to best meet advisor and business needs. Conduct gap analyses against current capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and investment. Synthesize findings into a compelling vision for offer roadmap and presentation to aid facilitation of decision making among the AS leadership team and key business partners.Offer Planning and Decision Support.  Develop a well-informed and trusted point of view to help facilitate design and go to market decisions with senior leaders. Work with partners to gather, prioritize and size investments and timing to inform overall project timeline. Appropriately escalate opportunities and challenges that materially impact projects with informed opinions on paths forward.Client Trends. Monitor and track trends in RIA usage current offer elements. Develop processes to identify emerging client needs and pain points to inform project portfolio for the team.Work closely with key functions including Sales, Service, Advisor and Field Experience, Digital, Marketing, Legal, Risk to provide transparency into strategic initiatives being driven by the team and to gather feedback on impact implications. Build fluency on new offer design considerations for key functions. Team Management. Manage the project portfolio and TAMP/IBD program for the team ensuring top priorities are appropriately resourced and team is being leveraged in a way to maximize impact to the business. What you have

Required Experience:

10+ years of working in the RIA industry; 15+ years of program management, project management and/or strategic execution.Direct people management experience (3 or more direct reports) Strong business influence skills and able to shape, define and present a compelling vision and strategy for new offers including developing thoughtfully-written business cases, action plans and clear/regular communication to executive management on project status.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize data, develop recommendations, influence partners and report on status. Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and constructing slide presentations for senior leadership.Very strong relationship skills; Highly client-oriented with demonstrated project and communications experience.Strong people management skills and experience leading and coaching a team of direct reports in addition to leading a team of cross-functional/enterprise partners on projects
