Director, Enterprise Resource Planning
JOB SUMMARY The Director, ERP, specializing in SAP, will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing management of SAP ERP systems across our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering ERP initiatives. This position will play a critical role in optimizing business processes, driving digital transformation, and ensuring alignment between technology solutions and business objectives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership: + Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP strategy with a focus on SAP solutions to support business goals. + Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital innovation. + Establish KPIs to measure the success of ERP initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Project Management: + Oversee the planning, budgeting, and implementation of SAP projects, including upgrades, integrations, and customizations. + Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects within scope and budget. System Optimization: + Evaluate and enhance SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, PP) to optimize performance and user experience. + Ensure system scalability, security, and compliance with industry regulations and standards. Team Leadership: + Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing ERP team, including SAP specialists, developers, and analysts. + Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement: + Act as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and external vendors for SAP-related initiatives. + Provide regular updates to executive leadership on ERP system performance, project status, and risks. Risk Management: + Identify and mitigate risks associated with SAP system deployment and operation. + Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance with organizational policies. Operations Management + Implement testing and quality processes to maintain integrity of the SAP Landscape + Responsible for maintaining 24x7 operational availability of SAP CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Education: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: + Minimum of 10 years of experience in ERP management, with at least 7 years specializing in SAP. + Proven track record of leading large-scale SAP implementations, including ECC6 and SAP S/4HANA migrations. + Experience in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or logistics is a plus. Technical Skills: + Expertise in SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, PP, and WMS + Strong understanding of SAP integration with third-party systems. + Familiarity with SAP analytics tools and emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and machine learning. Leadership Skills: + Exceptional ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams. + Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. + Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
