As the Director, Enterprise Vendor Performance Management, you will establish and maintain a center-led vendor performance management program with a focus on core health plan functions. We are seeking a talented leader that acts as a strategic advisor to the business in monitoring and proactively supporting the vendor ecosystem and partnering with cross-functional Executive Business Owners (EROs), Business Relationship Owners (BROs), and Service Delivery Owners in their day-to-day management of vendors.
This role leads a team to manage Premera’s center-led vendor management program and provides oversight and coordination of vendor management relationships across the company. It is responsible for the implementation and leadership of key elements of the vendor management lifecycle, including performance management and improvement and for ensuring appropriate discipline and procedures are in place to support effective vendor performance.
What you will do:
Lead the strategic design, development, and implementation of an effective enterprise-wide program for vendor performance managementDevelop ecosystem vendor performance management standards including performance guarantees, KPIs and SLAs, a standard cadence for monitoring performance and compliance across functions, and standard tools for tracking financial information.Partner closely with the vendor sourcing and contracting team, providing analysis and advice to enable strategic vendor selection and negotiations (e.g., advising on ecosystem characteristics and risk profile).Identify and facilitate opportunities for improved performance of vendors and support the resolution of performance issues.Implement and maintain a centralized system to track, assess, and manage vendor performance.Maintain systems for routine periodic data collection, reporting, and fulfilling audit and other requestsLead and facilitate strategic vendor performance and risk reviews, and ensure mitigation plans are implemented. Implement governance structures and processes to maximize the value and operational success of new vendors.What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or four years of relevant work experience.Ten years of experience in vendor performance management including five years of experience in overseeing significant offshore operations and/or vendors with significant offshore operationsAdditional preferred skills/ experiences include:
Knowledge of contract and vendor management systemsProject Management Experience and Lean and/or Six Sigma Experience.Master’s degree in business administration or a related area.#LI-SS1
