We believe inclusion of diverse backgrounds and perspectives is fundamental to our success.        The Director of External Financial Reporting offers guidance to the external financial reporting team, ensuring timely and precise external financial reporting aligned with US GAAP for stakeholders. Additionally, they act as a resource for technical accounting matters, identifying, monitoring, and analyzing accounting issues or developments that may affect the company. This role reports to the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer.        What You’ll Do:     Manages the external (quarterly and annual) review/audit process and liaises with external auditors and consultants.Prepares and files the quarterly, annual and current reports (Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K) as well as ownership filings (Forms 3, 4 and 5) accurately in a timely manner in accordance with US GAAP, including XBRL tagging and EDGAR filing.Manages the share-based compensation process including award valuation, processing new grants, cancellations and issuance of shares for vested awards and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Identifies areas for business/financial accuracy, process and efficiency improvements and works with all levels of management to implement change as appropriate.Possesses a deep knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting regulations and guidelines to determine qualitative and quantitative impact on the Company.Stays current on new accounting standards or regulations, determines the impact to the financial statements in a timely manner and communicates the impact to key stakeholders prior to adoption. Conducts technical accounting research and documents findings in a clear and concise technical position paper.Performs other ad hoc job duties and projects as needed.  What You’ll Need:    Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with CPA.Minimum of 10 years of audit-related experience, either with a Big 4 public accounting firm and a client base of public companies, or a minimum of 10 years of total experience. This should include a mix of audit-related experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm and financial reporting/technical accounting experience for publicly traded company(ies).Preference for retail client experience.Experience with Workiva and/or EquityEdge is a plus.Extensive and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting regulations.Knowledge of ASC 718 and share-based compensation expense.Possesses a working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley.Must be available to work primarily on Pacific Time to meet the needs of the business. Occasional travel to HQ in City of Industry, CA may be required.  What You'll Get:     A culture where people are accepted and encouraged to be who they are.Competitive compensation, 401k with company matching contribution, plus potential to earn company performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive wellness package including, medical, dental, vision, and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Generous 50% employee discount and access to employee-only sales.Support the causes you’re passionate about.
