Description Manages staff and employee performance. Resolves Human resource-related issues, determines staffing needs, interviews and hires staff. Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies and documents competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills. Determines disciplinary, termination and salary actions. Monitors workflow. Develops short and long term goals and objectives; analyzes strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and constraints to give direction to hospitals' leadership in working toward meeting facilities and operational objectives. Establishes and administers policies, procedures, and related forms in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines; reviews, revises, and communicates them to ensure compliance. Identifies, implements, and determines the scope of projects in consultation with senior administration. Monitors status of projects, adjusts schedules and priorities when necessary. Assigns project areas and manages short and long term projects. Plans, administers and monitors the department's capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets; regularly reviews year to date and prior budget expenditures; and takes corrective action as necessary. In compliance with applicable regulations, directs data collection, storage, analysis, and operational and statistical reporting activities for management and regulatory agencies. Assigns responsibility and reviews completed reports.Represents the organization in area and regional activities. Participates on various committees and provides staff support as necessary. Serves as organizational resource person for facilities and operational planning. Recommends most appropriate course of action to leadership. Performs other related duties as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or related field and seven years experience in engineering environment with supervisory experience, or ten years experience without a degree. Experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred. Registered Professional Engineer (Georgia) preferred. May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
