Job Description

Visa is seeking a passionate, authentic, dynamic and results-oriented leader to join the Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) team as the Director, Finance Revenue Systems. FSS is responsible for driving changes to Finance technology and tools and is currently working directly with the Finance Leadership team to design the future architecture and drive the Finance Technology modernization roadmap.

Visa has established a Finance Velocity Office (FVO) to build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams. FSS team is working tightly with the broader FVO to implement technology to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable long-term growth.

The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across Finance, IT and the broader business to understand needs, identify opportunities to develop and execute on to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function.

Essential Functions:

Support translating finance vision for the future into a world-class technology end-state architecture.Lead development and execution of major initiatives in the Revenue space for Finance.Develop requirements for Finance revenue systems, manage delivery in close collaboration with IT, conduct user acceptance testing and client adoptionManage work in an agile environment with Jira as the tool, provide accurate and transparent updates to leadership, highlighting risks/issues with appropriate mitigation and remediation plans.Strategic and forward-looking thinking with a tendency for looking at issues in a holistic manner.Experience overseeing large, complex, global transformations with a bias for action.Work successfully in a matrixed environment, with an ability to influence without authority and instead use subject matter expertise and facts.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

10 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)Finance functional knowledge, especially revenue/billing.Experience with Revenue applications like Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) or other Incentive applications10+ years of experience with industry ERP systems (i.e., Oracle, PeopleSoft, eBusiness, SAP, etc.)10+ years working Financials systems providing Functional support, Analysis, or Architecture


Preferred Qualifications:

MBA strongly preferred.Experience designing and executing a finance transformation.Experience working on multi-stakeholder initiatives, focused on improving the customer experience.Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.Experience in translating accounting requirements for system implementationIn depth accounting knowledge and strong Finance Analytical skillsStrong communication skills and presentation skillsExperience on leading the implementing ERP systems in complex, global and challenge environmentsExperience on leading teams to implement multiple projects in parallel in the tight timelineMust have experience through all phases of the technology implementation lifecycle.Deep understanding and experience of applying Agile methodology in projectsSelf-motivated and strong leadership on driving changes and motivate othersDetail oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyPossess organizational, problem-solving skills, and time management skills to meet deadlines, exceptional conceptual, analytical and process mapping skills are requiredShould be able to work with offshore vendors and resources spread out globallyAbility to communicate and work directly with business leaders across Finance and TechnologySolid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practicesIndependent judgment and mature decision-making skills to work on projects that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant financial and compliance impacts

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 161,500.00 to 234,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
