Overview Our organization continues to grow and as a result, we have a newly created position where we are seeking a Director of Finance Systems Projects and Transformation who is highly motivated, experienced, dynamic, and a proactive leader to oversee Finance systems projects and enhancements. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Department strategic objectives. In this role, you will identify, design, and coordinate the implementation of technology and business solutions to transform the Finance organization. You will partner closely with Finance leaders and IT leaders to formulate strategic objectives for long term architecture requirements, drive IT system and process improvements and implement changes to achieve Finance organization goals. This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US. How you'll make an impact Identify, design, and coordinate implementation of improvements and enhancements to Finance systems and technology. Analyze current financial system workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Collaborate with Finance Team Members, IT professionals, and other cross functional stakeholders to address technical challenges and resolve system issues by understanding and identifying gaps and gathering requirements to implement and optimize system enhancements Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for improvements to Finance systems and technology in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Manage a staff of direct reports and direct day-to-day execution of job responsibilities and projects. Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Lead prioritization of finance systems projects and enhancements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals Spearhead the adoption of AI-driven solutions to enhance financial processes, decision-making, and overall operational efficiency. Manage cross-functional projects to enhance system capabilities, streamline workflows, and improve the accuracy and accessibility of financial data and technology. Communicate project roadmap deliverables to Finance Leaders Partner with Internal Controls Team Members to ensure adherence with control requirements as they relate to financial systems and data management. Work with outside consultants and contractors who assist on improvement projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. About You Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial systems management At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role. In-depth knowledge of financial software, ERPs, reporting tools, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and regulatory requirements. Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing financial systems to support business operations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change initiatives.
