About the team and the role:
We are on the hunt for a Director, Global Business Performance! In this critical role, you will lead the Global Business Performance Team in delivering key insights and reporting to eBay CEO, CFO and leadership teams. You will collaborate with multiple cross division teams and use one of the world’s largest datasets in order to communicate a clear and summarized outlook of eBay’s performance.
You will create innovative, new performance deep dive tools and maintain existing reporting suites, communicating performance on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis with exposure to eBay finance and executive leadership teams.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding analytical and communication skills, and an ability to simplify complicated matters. This role will report to the Senior Director of Corporate FP&A!
What you will accomplish:
Drive the company business performance review process to evaluate business performance relative to expectations, supervise and review historical, current and planned business performance. Communicate business performance clearly, enabling the business to take actions in timely manner.Provide business insights, analysis and recommendations to decision making, serving as a strategic business partner to leadership teams across the business. Collaborate with peers and colleagues to evaluate and advise on business performance. Provide business decision support and develop and evaluate new growth opportunities.Maintain and develop new operational metrics and deep dive tools that will help dissect performance quicker, drive standard methodologies and frameworks for driving growth and profitability.Lead analyses to assess business strengths and weaknesses, identify and evaluate opportunities to achieve short and long term strategic goals. Monitor external trends and interpret the potential implications for the business.Partner with senior finance and business leaders to plan, coordinate and execute the annual and long-term budgeting, global forecasting and planning processes.Model future eBay outlook using data science modeling.Build and maintain strong working relationships with leaders across the Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Customer Service, and Product teams through collaboration to drive strategic analysis and provide recommendations for ad-hoc requests.Develop a culture of continuous improvement by applying subject matter expertise to standardize, consolidate and simplify business performance processes, streamline processes and reporting, identify and complete automation that builds time-savings and reduces non-value-added work.Lead, inspire and develop a team of high potential business performance professionals. Provide leadership to direct staff through a combination of empowerment and coaching with the objective of encouraging staff development and elevating team performance. Lead by example in developing, motivating, attracting and retaining a highly effective global business performance team and inspire change and collaboration. Develop the team to be a best-in-class, high-performance, analytically driven organization.What you will bring:
10+ years of dynamic financial planning & analysis and management experience. Extensive experience at a large growth company a plus. Exposure to consumer internet or e-commerce business models is preferred.Outstanding conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills.Ability to work with people at all levels and across varying functions.Ability to communicate sophisticated analysis in a precise and significant manner with both technical, and non-technical customers.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.Academic background in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, statistics, economics, business).Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills.SQL and relational database knowledge preferred, but not required.Sound strategic perspective, business judgment, analytical capabilities, and a collaborative working style. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$165,200 - $261,800Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
