This role is based in Houston and primary focus is on the midstream and pipeline, LNG and carbon capture sectors, with increasing focus on other emerging energy transition sectors. The Director for Global Investment Banking – Energy, Infrastructure, & Transition will work with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Directors, Associates and Analysts to expand CIBC Global Investment Banking’s presence in the Energy, Infrastructure, & Transition sectors in the US. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. **How You’ll Succeed** + Prepare industry and financial analysis to determine client opportunities and recommendations + Lead industry valuation analysis including discounted cash flows, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses + Develop proposals to clients and potential clients for equity and debt placements, mergers, asset or company divestitures or acquisitions, and other financial products and advisory services + Organize presentations to potential clients, assisting in the development of presentation information + Participate in cross functional teams and liaising with other units of CIBC Capital Markets in executing mandates or preparing proposals for clients + Assist in company due diligence investigations + Prepare offering memoranda and marketing materials + Participate in external client interaction **Who You Are** Values matter to you.
