Director, Global IT Project Management Office (PMO)

We are seeking a director for our Global IT Program Management Office (PMO) who will serve as a strategic partner to our IT executives and business leaders across BRP. This pivotal role will drive the optimization of our project portfolio management and fund allocation and seamlessly integrate Waterfall, Hybrid, and Agile project methodologies. As PMO Director, you will lead the Agile transformation, standardize project management practices, and manage project risks, significantly impacting BRP’s technological and digital transformation journey.
 

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
 

Define and execute a long-term vision for the Global IT PMO.

Lead the Agile transformation across IT and Business by defining roles, coaching teams, and integrating Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies for coordinated and effective project delivery.

Oversee strategic Portfolio Management to ensure enterprise-wide alignment between strategy and execution, prioritization, value creation, and robust governance.

Collaborate actively with IT Business Partners and business representatives to influence the prioritization of programs and projects.

Enhance overall project management performance, processes, and best practices across BRP.

Manage IT project funding allocation, and perform cost-benefit analyses in collaboration with the finance team to maximize ROI.
 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: 
 

At least 10 years of experience applying Agile methodologies within PMO processes.

Proven experience leading PMO transformations from Control-focused to Value-driven PMOs.

Demonstrated ability to transition project management approaches from Waterfall to Hybrid and Agile methodologies.

Previous leadership experience overseeing a PMO team within a technology-driven and financial-focused environment.

Knowledge and practical experience with Portfolio Project Management (PPM) tools, including tool selection and deployment.

Strong command of PMO processes coupled with a LEAN mindset.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to manage ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities.

Proven experience in leading and managing organizational change initiatives within a PMO environment.

Proven ability to collaborate and influence diverse stakeholders and business leaders capable of securing buy-in for proposed changes in complex organizational settings.

Proven experience with budget management and business case development.

Strong people management and change leadership skills in dynamic environments.

Acute understanding of department, project and portfolio financial management.

Solution-oriented mindset with a track record of effectively managing decentralized teams in hybrid work environments.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Fluency in French and English (oral and written) is essential, for global project coordination.
