The Strategy & Operational Excellence team is on a mission to improve both our customer and employee experience by transforming how we plan, buy, make, and distribute products in Waters Global Operations. Our four pillars of focus include Strategy, Processes and Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Insights.

 

As the Director, Global Operations Data Governance, you will be responsible for building out a new data governance team to drive improvements in roles, processes, policies and tools to ensure proper data quality throughout the data lifecycle and proper data usage across Global Operations, in particular, but not exclusively, as it relates to Master Data in our ERP system. This will require you to engage with the Global Operations leadership team to align on the vision and strategy, collaborate with / influence colleagues across our global network to ensure focused execution of the improvement roadmap, and monitor the impact of those improvements.

Responsibilities Establish a data governance framework for Global Operations, aligned with the broader enterpriseMobilize and lead a small, cross-functional team of subject-matter experts from both business and technology backgroundsCreate, maintain, and execute a roadmap of pragmatic improvements in roles, processes, policies and toolsEnable the organization to drive rapid improvements in Master Data quality to support ongoing ERP transformation activitiesCultivate a culture of continuous improvement as it relates to dataCollaborate with stakeholders outside of Global Operations to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, e.g., with respect to master data management, enterprise IT systems, etc.Develop and attract best-in-class talent Qualifications 7+ years progressive experience in data governance within supply chain and manufacturing environments 5+ years experience with SAP (e.g., SAP ECC, APO and S/4 Hana) and SAP master data management, including large ERP transformation programsProven ability to establish data governance from the ground up Experience leading cross-functional teamsSolid project management skills, experience managing global, multi-functional projectsStrong influencing skills, proven ability to work across organizational boundaries motivating change and harmonization across a global organizationResults oriented mindset, operates with high sense of urgency   Proven track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results ahead of scheduleStrong written and verbal communication                                                                                     #LI-Hybrid Company Description
