Director, Global Planning (S&OP, VMI)-US- Remote

We are currently seeking a Director, Global Supply Chain to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Director, Global Supply Chain at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in designing and analyzing clinical trials, interpreting complex medical data, and contributing to the advancement of inNvative treatments and therapies.
**What you will be doing**
+ Serve as the subject matter expert in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), driving the implementation of demand planning, capacity planning, and production strategy optimization.
+ Lead the integration of new study wins to support ICON's strategic objectives.
+ Oversee the implementation of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) software for forecasting and capacity planning.
+ Lead the monthly S&OP process, ensuring smooth operations and preparing reports for senior management.
+ Analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights and recommend process improvements.
+ Facilitate S&OP discussions to assess business performance and identify areas for innovation.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives in S&OP, gap identification, and action item closure.
+ Collaborate across departments and with external partners to resolve data discrepancies and challenges.
+ Lead or participate in ad-hoc analytical projects.
+ Lead ICON's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) service for global clinical sites, ensuring efficient inventory replenishment and stock models.
+ Oversee high-mix, low-volume operations and Make-to-Order (M-t-O) production environments.
+ Optimize and automate VMI models to improve scalability and cost-effectiveness.
+ Monitor inventory levels, production lead times, and delivery performance, driving improvements as needed.
+ Develop reports to track performance metrics such as on-time delivery and wastage reduction.
+ Collaborate with Sponsors, Production, and Logistics teams to resolve delivery issues and ensure inventory accuracy.
**Your profile:**
+ Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred); pharma/biotech experience.
+ 5+ years leading teams (10-15 people) and managing IT systems (IBP, MRP, VMI).
+ Extensive experience in S&OP, forecasting, capacity planning, and VMI.
+ Expertise in global logistics, clinical trial supply chains, and IT systems (IBP, MRP).
+ Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
+ Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
