The Revenue Performance Organization in Controllership is a dynamic, stakeholder and customer-oriented team in Finance that works with sales and services on customer contracts, orders, and structures and manages these deals from Quote to Order through to revenue recognition and revenue / cost accounting. We are accountable and responsible for the integrity of revenue and cost accounting associated with customer orders. We value business-focus while ensuring that we meet compliance and revenue standards under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). We collaborate with product management, legal, supply chain fulfilment, pricing, commercial functions, FP&A, broader controllership, change management, shared services, and internal & external audit associates.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you be responsible for the Global Revenue Accounting Operations team’s performance ensuring the financials (revenue, cost, balance sheet entries) are in accordance with Hitachi Vantara Revenue Recognition policies, IFRS standards, and JSOX. To support the business in their effort to win more business, you will be involved in various projects and initiatives to advise, co-design and implement the most efficient processes and tools focusing on simplification and standardization. To align with the above objectives, you will also lead the Change Management Office (CMO) program to identify and address process readiness and/or gaps when new customer offerings are introduced. Your focus will be on proper accounting standards, process, team and stakeholder management, and talent development. Your team is responsible for ensuring revenue and associated cost transactions are documented and accounted for correctly. You will have opportunities to collaborate with other Hitachi Vantara Corporate and GEO based colleagues to achieve consistent best practices and judgement. Your role in the organization will be to influence, drive and implement changes in all areas of revenue and cost accounting.

What You Will Bring To The Team

Ability to work well with and influence various management levels and functions within Hitachi Vantara using your skills and experience in/with:

Accounting knowledge and applicable knowledge of IFRS15, IFRS16, or ASC606, ASC842 Team management and their skill building Cloud-based applications common in the industry. Project management and change management to support global initiatives Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with all levels of company associates and executives including contact with our internal and external customers. Demonstrated experience to lead a virtual global team of managers and subject matter experts in transactional deal structuring and accounting. A professional degree such as BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics. CPA/CMA/MBA or equivalent and at least 10 years’ experience in an industry-related field.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts in those states that require it, the expected base salary for this position is:

Base Salary Range: $117K – $240K

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
