The Director of Global Talent Development defines the strategy, implementation and improvement of solutions that build organizational talent now and for the future. Leads talent development for the organization by assessing needs, designing solutions and implementing effective methods for sustaining a growth and learning culture. Supports the organization in achieving business objectives through learning for all, high potential development, leadership/executive development, reskilling/upskilling the workforce, and optimization of learning technology and platforms. Partners with the business and HR Business Partners to drive development actions for critical and high potential talent. Responsible for building and leading a team of L&D professionals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust talent pipeline. This role is located at our Corporate HQ in Austin, Texas.
What a typical day looks like:
Develop and execute an enterprise-wide talent development strategy.Identify current and future skills gaps and design initiatives to address these needs.Lead the succession planning process for the organization.Gain a deep understanding of our industry, market trends, and business priorities to ensure development initiatives are relevant and impactful.Lead the design and implementation of development initiatives and programs for defined audiences.Define, implement, and report on metrics that are meaningful to business leaders.Work seamlessly across various departments, building strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure talent development initiatives are integrated and aligned with overall business strategy.Build a robust pipeline of talent from early career to senior executive levels.Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in succession planning and talent development, bringing innovative and practical solutions to our organization.Travel - 10-15%Here's what we're looking to add to our team:
10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Leadership Development, Talent Management or Organization Development5+ years of experience leading teamsExcellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skillsProven ability to work with leaders to define learning needsUnderstanding of adult development and behavior changeAbility to innovate and think creatively about learning solutions, technology, and adoptionExperience managing/implementing a learning technology ecosystem to include AI other non-traditional technologiesHere are some preferred experiences:
