Workday is looking for an experienced & highly motivated Treasury Director, Global Treasury Operations to join Workday’s growing Treasury team. This position will lead our global treasury operations and report directly to VP, Corporate Treasurer. The Treasury Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of treasury operations, including cash management, investment, foreign exchange, debt covenants & captive insurance entity.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Provide strategic direction and leadership for global treasury operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of treasury professionals across multiple global locations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of treasury operations.
Lead M&A integration for Treasury.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of daily cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational, capital and strategic requirements.
Responsible for running all of Workday’s bank accounts and fostering partnerships with banks and financial institutions.
Leads efforts to ensure the optimal allocation of cash/funding, and cash reserves to meet the company’s liquidity needs.
Responsible for the identification, assessment of, and management of operational financial risks.
Participates in the management of Workday’s credit facilities and debt activities, including debt services, compliance and restructuring as is appropriate.
Manage back office operations of investment, foreign exchange & Insurance.
Evaluate, implement and maintain treasury technologies to improve efficiencies, and enhance decision making.
Support other treasury & finance projects as needed. This position is not restricted solely to the responsibilities listed above, and the job scope and responsibilities are subject to change.
About You
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in treasury operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a large multinational company.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required. Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Additionally, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and/or other professional treasury designations and certifications also preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Strong track record of building and scaling global treasury operations centers.
Deep understanding of treasury best practices, treasury technology, and financial regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively and articulate ideas and results to senior leadership.
Strong track record of working effectively with and building relationships with both internal functional experts (Tax, Accounting, Legal, FP&A) and external partners and advisors (e.g. banks, insurance companies, etc.).
Track record of maintaining integrity while moving with agility and innovating.
