The Director of Grant Funding will lead the company’s grant & funding initiatives including Universal Pre-K programs, Head Start/Early Head Start, and project grants. Essential Functions: + In accordance with the company’s strategic goals, expand the number of Universal Pre-K programs and company grants through the successful execution of RFPs and grant applications + In partnership with marketing and field operations, grow the utilization of existing Universal Pre-K programs + Lead the management of existing programs, in accordance with individual program guidelines; ensure program funds are spent according to program requirements + Develop and nurture relationships with Universal Pre-K program sponsors to ensure open lines of communication for growth opportunities and problem resolution + Proactively evaluate and report on performance vs. goals—actively alerting on and problem-solving new courses of action to achieve and surpass both fiscal year and long-term goals. + Lead team efforts to research, analyze, and secure available grant funding including federal, state, and programmatic grants; ensure all requirements and documentation procedures are properly met and completed. + In partnership with Finance and Accounting partners, develop and maintain a budgeting and ROI strategy for Universal Pre-K/grant funded programs that allows visibility into program profitability at the program and school level, and provides the necessary information to advise on opportunities for growth or contraction of the program in individual markets. + Understand and address intersections between private pay, needs-based subsides and state pre-k funding and how these streams play out in LCG schools. + Partner with the Director of Educational Programming to ensure all assessment and curriculum submission guidelines are known and understood throughout the department and by those in other Support Central functional areas (such as IT and Marketing) in order to effect successful approvals and maintenance of all state requirements. Respond to all submission criteria on time and comprehensively. + Be an influencer; work with IT, Marketing and Operations departments to ensure appropriate coordination and execution to maximize financial and strategic objectives. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage and direct staff including recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and objectives. Minimum Job Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in business or finance + Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of grant program management, inside or outside of ECE, or aligned functions including multi-unit ECE leadership Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications: + Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers. + Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. + Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. + Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. + Proven ability to use financial data to make strategic business decisions. + Ability to lead project teams and work cross-functionally to achieve results. + Skilled self-starter with the ability to leverage innovation and critical thinking in order to improve or refine new large-scale processes. + Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with and relate to all levels of an organization. Compensation and Benefits: + Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid. + $141-158k base salary + This position is also eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.
