Director, Grants Management
Job Title: Director of Grants Management Department: Finance Reports to: VP of Grants Management Location: Hybrid-Flexed, 2 days in office in NYC Salary Range: $125K - $144K* *New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. Position Overview: The Director of Grants Management will play a key role in driving process improvements to streamline the management of government contracts and grants. This role will be instrumental in managing cash flow analysis, coordinating audits, and preparing annual contract budgets, all while fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration. Duties/Responsibilities: + Support the oversight and implementation of process improvements within the grants management team to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and promote accuracy, transparency, and timeliness. Play an active role in driving the successful execution of these changes across the team. + Conduct strategic cash flow analysis and projections to support the effective management of funding resources. + Collaborate with the Controller and Accounting team to serve as the primary point of contact for external audits related to funding contracts and as the grants management team's lead in annual organizational audits. + Direct and manage the grants management team in the preparation of annual contract budgets, working closely with Program teams to align planned spending with contract deliverables and goals. + Foster strong relationships between the Grants Management team and Program teams, supporting collaboration and ensuring effective communication across departments to meet funding contract objectives. Required Skills/Abilities: + Familiarity with government funding portals, including NYC PASSport and NYS SFS. + Experience with nonprofit accounting systems. Knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Ability to work well within a team environment. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. + Proven track record of building relationships with various stakeholders. + Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. + Passion for Vibrant’s mission, passionate about improving the lives of others. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree + Master's degree preferred but not required, provided the required years of relevant experience listed below are met. + At least 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit or government finance. + A minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing government contracts, private funder agreements, and foundation grants. + Prior supervisory and team leadership experience preferred.
