Director, Global Supply Management – Center of Excellence, Advanced Performance: Design to Value & Cost Analytics is a key contributor and leader of a team of engineers, project managers, and analysts to effectively support the enterprise to drive exponential value by leveraging customer insights, supply insights, design insights, costs, modularity & platforming, manufacturability, and sustainability.
Lead the Design to Value (DtV) cross Operating Company teams, including performance management, responsible for achieving goals and objectives set forth by Steering Committee, Operating Companies, GSM and third-party guidance. Coordination of product supply, engineering design, and Voice of the customer resources cross functionally and in operating companies. Lead the cost analytics lab and generate work products to address cost, support supply chain shifts, and enable strategies.
The leader will create the mission and vision for the CoE Advanced Performance team and partner closely with the CoE Governance and Performance Leader to create a unified CoE mission and vision statement. This individual will also build relationships with the Directs Sourcing, Indirects Sourcing, and Operating Company leaders and key stakeholders to facilitate cross-functional engagement and determine the goals and objectives for the CoE Advanced Performance team and drive results through coaching and sharing of best practices to Win as One.
Work You’ll Do:
Create and institutionalize the DtV toolkit, ensuring standard work product, processes and reporting. Lead consistent DtV processes and Infrastructure across the enterprise.Identify products / components with high DtV potential and bring together relevant cross-functional stakeholders (commercial, manufacturing, engineering, finance, and GSM) for workshops, ideation, and execution.Plan, support, and execute tear down workshops and design reviews with business stakeholders.Identify and prioritize the opportunities, balance impact potential and execution complexity. Drive opportunities through execution.Lead rigorous technical validation of proposed engineering changes to ensure smooth and effective implementation.Identify, prioritize, and execute on opportunities to leverage clean sheets, linear performance pricing, and parametric pricing. Support negotiation fact pack building and supplier negotiations as necessary.Engage in supplier footprint optimization and make vs. buy analysis – including but not limited to defining the total cost of ownership and adjacent analytics.Establish standards and process for an agile and reactive response to market trends, supply shifts, and risk mitigation that are linked with clean sheets and cost analytics.Build dashboards and predictive tools to drive actions, accountability, and results.Establish standard rhythms and communication across GSM team and within Opco’s on relative subjects to drive alignment and engagement.Function as a leader in driving innovation, efficiency, and value creation across key functional areas within the entire GSM organizationProvide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a global team of advanced performance managers and analysts, procurement professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the procurement organization, promoting professional development and career growth opportunities.Lead by example, embodying the organization's values, ethics, and principles, while driving a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.Innovate process improvements to benefit GSM’s efficiency, effectiveness, competitive standing, and performance.Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand advanced sourcing strategies, optimized sourcing, market analyses, spend deep dives and related analytics, training programs, knowledge codification, and data-driven negotiation tactics.Follow a continuous improvement mindset to continually enhance processes and operating methods.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
