Director, Head of Industrials, Global Trade Solutions

The role is responsible for collaborating with Coverage and market contacts to deliver the Industrials and East Coast/ Midwest Trade Finance strategy by focusing on new originations and scaling existing client relationships across core trade and structured trade solutions.

Key responsibilities include the following:

Covering clients pro-actively through a content led, high impact strategyOriginating and Structuring the e2e transaction, ensuring necessary collaboration with colleagues across Capital management, Credit, Legal, Distribution, Credit Risk, etcEnsuring origination and scaling up of profitable business with focus on balance sheet velocityWorking with Product Management to ensure HSBC GTRF delivers to client needs by collaborating across Fintech and 3rd party providers to deliver a best in class solution across the suite of Trade Finance Solutions


As our Director-Head of Industrials, Global Trade Solutionsyou will:

Own the Industrials Sector and a portfolio of Global Banking and Commercial banking clientsCollaborate with Relationship Managers in the Industrials sector to identify trends in the sector and related new opportunities and advise clients on solutions that solve for industry problemsProactively manage client relationships and originate new Core Trade and Structured Trade finance transactionDevelop and maintain strong working relationships within GTRF including Business Development, Business Portfolio Risk Management, Risk and Compliance, GTRF Services and Transaction Risk ManagementLead deal execution including preparing approval materials, negotiating legal documentation and coordinating with internal partnersAdhere to governance and compliance requirementsBuild out sector specific propositions in collaboration with product management and platformsEnhance Trade penetration across the Greater NYC and Midwest CMB portfolio

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $174,300 and $250,000.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Deep Structured Trade Finance experienceStrong knowledge of CreditGood understanding of Fintech platforms, market solutionsStrong communication and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a teamSpecific industry experience in the Industrials sectorAbility to manage deal execution, including legal documentation negotiations, necessary approvals and timelinesExcellent time management, planning and organization skillsBachelor’s (Master’s preferred) Degree in Finance, accounting or related fieldsLeadership skills
