Summary:
Director, Hospital and Alternate Channels Marketing, COBENFY will have a unique opportunity to help shape the future of schizophrenia treatment on a critical growth brand at Bristol Myers Squibb. This role will drive in-line marketing and promotional strategy for hospital and alternate sites of care, coordinate efforts with outpatient HCP marketing team, lead key commercial projects from strategy to execution and will collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Sales, Training, Medical, Market Access, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) and Patient Access Support Services (PASS) to ensure robust strategic planning and strong execution. We’re looking for a strategic, performance driven, entrepreneurial leader with a challenger mindset who cultivates a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and appropriate risk taking. This role reports to Executive Director, Hospital and Alternate Channels Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and launch plan focusing on hospitals and alternate sites of care. Stakeholders are Psychiatrists, NP/PAs, case and social workers, psychologists, pharmacists, hospital administrators
This role requires close collaboration with HCP marketing team focused on the outpatient universe, business insights and analytics (BI&A), medical affairs, consumer marketing, sales, regulatory, market access, HEOR, field medical, key account managers
Conduct market research, gather stakeholder insights, lead competitive analysis, identify unmet needs, clinical preferences, market opportunities
Work with agencies of record to develop messaging strategy, promotional resources, educational materials, non-personal promotion materials, hospital-based value propositions, HEOR materials supporting clinical and value conversations and additional tools as necessary for hospital stakeholders
Collaborate with medical affairs, clinical development teams, HEOR teams to translate scientific data, clinical evidence and real-world evidence into compelling messaging and communication strategies tailored to these audiences
Lead the development of product and disease state messaging, sales collateral to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and differentiation across multiple channels including print, digital, events, and peer to peer engagements
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, track awareness, engagement, and prescribing behavior, and optimize strategies based on performance insights
Effectively partner with agency of record, providing clear expectations, guidance and feedback to agency, ensuring rigor in marketing excellence
This role is based in PPK and requires 10-20% travel
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PharmD, MBA) preferred.
Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical experience. Further healthcare industry experience (hospitals, pharmacies) preferred.
Demonstrated success in marketing, including innovative product/data launches
Successful delivery of strategic and operational plans within a therapeutic or business area
Clinical understanding of schizophrenia and available treatments
Ability to effectively lead and influence without authority at all levels and cross functionally
Sound business judgment, ethical behavior, decisiveness, and strategic vision
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience building strong external relationships within a therapy ecosystem across healthcare professionals, key accounts, and patient groups
Strong cross-functional business acumen covering sales, access, HEOR, patient services, operations (e.g. trade, sampling), finance, GPS with the ability to assess and get results
Strong personal and cross-functional leadership and accountability
Social/digital marketing experience preferred
Psychiatry therapeutic area experience preferred
