The Director, HR Analytics and Project Management is responsible for leading the development of analytics frameworks and managing cross-functional projects to optimize performance and outcomes. The Director has responsibility for standardizing execution of projects, providing guidance on practice and application of project management, and ensuring successful execution of projects and programs through effective facilitation, tracking, and reporting consistent with project objectives and HR's strategic plan. Is a subject matter expert with advanced statistical subjects such as predictive statistical models, candidate profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design and analysis, and data mining. Responsible for oversight of development of sophisticated statistical models to analyze and predict complex business and human capital outcomes. Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations internal Human Resources Analytical and Project Management aim at assessing and improving various aspects of human resources, such as employee performance, recruitment, retention, and overall workforce productivity. Strategically analyses and leverages data to recommend solutions and optimize human capital strategies to enhance employee engagement and drive business outcomes. The incumbent is responsible for operational day-to-day support of reporting and data analysis. This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place to support departmental needs. Works with Leadership, internal partners and UPC to identify, suggest and/or deploy analytics needed for business objectives. Essential Duties: + Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations internal Human Resources Analytical and Project Management aim at assessing and improving various aspects of human resources, such as employee performance, recruitment, retention, and overall workforce productivity. + Oversees deep technical leadership to a portfolio of high impact data science initiatives. Identifies the optimal sets of data, models, training, and testing techniques required for successful product delivery. Removes complex technical impediments and barriers. + Oversees the development, design and implementation of strategic and workforce planning for Keck Medicine of USC. + Strategically analyses and leverages data to recommend solutions and optimize human capital strategies to enhance employee engagement and drive business outcomes. + Develops a strategic approach to workforce management that combines insights from workforce analytics, human capital best practices and business strategy. + Leads the development of sophisticated statistical models to analyze and predict complex business and human capital outcomes. + Applies statistical data modeling techniques to large candidate and employee demographic data sets using statistical analysis software tools. + Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and with internal and/or external resources to develop tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, dashboard development, decision aids, and business case analysis. + Develops and maintains the business intelligence reporting frameworks, tools, and data marts; works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs. + Applies broad business knowledge and advanced statistical rigor and modeling techniques when building data structures and tools. + Analyses trends and risks in the labor market demographic and workforce implication of our current employee population. + Responsible for oversight and development of predictive models and machine learning algorithms to derive insights from HR data. + Collaborates with leadership, HR and UPC to identify needed improvements and enhancements to existing human resources analytical databases and recommends solutions. + Provides development, leadership, and oversight for HR's Project Management and operations. + Has responsibility for standardizing execution of projects, providing guidance on practice and application of project management, and ensuring successful execution of projects and programs through effective facilitation, tracking, and reporting consistent with project objectives and HR's strategic plan. + Oversees the development and implementation of human resources analytics, high-quality analysis, and work to grow analytics offerings. + In addition, incumbent is responsible operational day-to-day support of reporting and data analysis. + This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place to support departmental needs. + Works with Leadership, internal partners and UPC to identify, suggest and/or deploy analytics needed for business objectives. + The incumbent will use extensive knowledge of computer technology and apply keen sense of analytical problem solving within Human Resources Analytics and Project Management. + Maintain the integrity of the existing structure, security, and data. + Accountable for the development and distribution of critical reports/dashboards to the organization. Compiles or assists with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR staff. + Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, Information Services and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects. + Analyze problems, determine the approach, compile and analyze data, and prepare reports/recommendation to define Human Resources processes. + Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements. + Lead the vendor relationship and stay informed of industry trend, developments, and new technologies in data management and security and Project Management. + Implements efficient means of data collection and maintenance. Supervises generation of regular and special reports. Recommends changes in methods or procedures to increase efficiency. + Work in a project manager capacity for departmental projects – identifying needs, timeline, results, and implementation changes. Drive, project manage and provide training to team.. + Lead and develop people; provide training, coaching, mentoring, and regular communication to ensure a high-performance and engaged team. + Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. + Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex or escalated issues that arise regarding project management and data. + Understand numerous, interrelated processes, Human Resources, and programs for driving improvements in order to increase quality, experience and effectiveness. + Keeps up to date on latest data science and HR analytics methodologies and tools. + Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: + Req Bachelor’s Degree Degree in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field required. + Req 5-7 years Project management, human resources analytics and reporting experience required. + Req 3-5 years Experience in strategic workforce planning and human capital strategy. + Req 1 - 2 years Supervisor and/or Lead experience required + Req Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, HRMS and LMS Systems. + Req Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Req Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Req Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure organizational needs and goals are met. + Req Thorough understanding of project management with a highly technical understanding analytical systems Preferred Qualifications: + Pref Master’s degree Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field preferred. + Pref Experience in hospital setting preferred + Pref Prefer experience with any of the following systems: Workday, HealthStream, Cornerstone, Kronos, or Document Management Systems. + Pref HR Certification HR Certification Preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications: + Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only) The annual base salary range for this position is $145,600.00 - $240,240.00.
