As Director of HR Shared Services, you will lead and manage our shared services team, focusing on optimizing business processes, improving efficiency, and driving high service levels across the organization. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Workday, as well as a strong understanding of shared services functions such as HR, payroll, finance, and IT. You will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of shared services strategies and Workday solutions to support organizational growth and ensure seamless service delivery.

This position is a hybrid role, on-site 3 days per week at one of the following office locations: Chevy Chase, MD; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Fredericksburg, VA; Lakeland, FL; Tucson, AZ; Virginia Beach, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the shared services strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
Define, monitor, and report on key Position Overview
Workday Management:
Oversee the configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Benefits).
Lead Workday implementations, upgrades, testing, and maintenance to support evolving business needs.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Workday system.
Operational Excellence:
Drive standardization, automation, and process improvement initiatives within shared services functions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize service delivery and resolve operational challenges.
Identify and implement best practices to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
People Leadership:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing shared services team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
Establish and monitor team goals and development plans to encourage continuous improvement and professional growth.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for shared services stakeholders, addressing needs and providing solutions to complex issues.
Partner with internal departments (e.g., HR, IT, and Finance) to align shared services initiatives with organizational priorities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of experience in shared services or operations leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and technology solutions.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Workday (configuration, implementation, and management).
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a high-paced, customer-centric environment.
Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday certification(s) in relevant modules.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with change management, particularly in digital transformation initiatives.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance for shared services functions (e.g., HR and Finance).

Annual Salary
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
