The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Human Resources Team at the Florence OpCo to ensure alignment with business and human resources objectives. The role will support leadership and associates by serving as an associate champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating needs proactively with the HR team and business leaders to develop solutions. The position collaborates across the business to deliver value-added services to leaders and associates that reflect business objectives. This is an onsite role.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders, providing HR guidance on key business decisions. Serves as a sounding board, coaching, and collaborating with managers on effective leadership and people management practices.Supervise associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Assist managers in staffing all vacancies. Ensure all administrative items are completed according to established guidelines (i.e., I-9
forms, employment applications).Assist in the training of management in application of policies and procedure. Assess training needs within the company and
coordinate delivery of appropriate information (i.e., computer skills, management skills, etc.)Function as an associate advocate by representing associates’ issues to management as appropriate. Work with management team
in resolving associate issues by investigating concerns and sharing resolution alternatives.Assist in the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures to include effective communications to associates.
Advise management of fair and consistent application of all approved policies and procedures.Ensure benefits are explained to new associates and their enrollment is processed at appropriate time. Ensure all company benefits are communicated and administered in a fair and consistent manner.Oversee procedures and processes to maintain our compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations. Work
with Safety Manager and Safety Committee on compliance.Performs other related duties as assigned.
