Director, Human Resources

The Director, Human Resources will support Technology Operations Business Unit as point of contact to support BU wide initiatives focused on org effectiveness, performance management, employee engagement, adhoc HR initiatives, and be the liaison to corporate communications and HR centers of excellence.  Partner with Technology Ops HR Leadership to support and implement effective short and long term strategies to attain organizational objectives. Combines HR mastery and industry knowledge to appropriately evaluate and resolve complex HR issues and initiatives within a fast paced and changing business environment.  


BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

Partner with respective leaders in order to understand the business challenges, ensure effective and timely HR support, and project/initiative-based BU support as needed

Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADAAA to minimize risk/exposure to the company

Provide guidance to ensure the integrity of the performance management program and the development of employees across Technology Ops Business Unit

Manage and support organizational change

Support recruiting and staffing process and initiatives ensuring compliance with EEO, FCC and Affirmative Action as appropriate; design and implement employee retention strategies with partnership HR leaders

Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing and commission reporting as needed

Business Unit liaison to Corporate Communications for Technology Operations communications

Participate in enterprise and business unit wide taskforce initiatives, while partnering with HR leaders

Monitor processes and ensure accurate maintenance of employee files and HRIS database

Possess comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit programs, and support annual enrollment

Participate in budget planning and manage departmental expenses

May support Merger and Acquisition activity working closely with other functional areas

Perform other duties as required

Expert knowledge of employee relation's procedures and applicable law

Demonstrated knowledge of broadband services industry/subscription based business model


Required Education

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or organizational behavior or related field

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Human Resource experience - 8-10

Management & project based experience - 5+ or relevant HR experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education

Master's Degree Preferred 

Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferred
