Director, Human Resources Business Partner - Dickies
As the primary HR Business Partner for the Dickies brand based in Costa Mesa, California, you’ll be responsible for translating business strategy into people strategy, activating organization effectiveness, talent acquisition and development, performance management, and employee engagement in support of the brand’s objectives.
As a trusted member of VF’s People team, you’ll report to the Vice President, HR Business Partner, Timberland & Dickies. You'll collaborate and liaise with VF’s People Centers of Expertise (COE) teams to provide HR leadership aligned to the business and associates’ needs.
What you will do:
Lead all HR initiatives to achieve annual plan (V2MOM) for both the Dickies brand and VF People team. Serve as an advisor to business leaders and associates to support employee engagement, career development and retention. Build trust and partnerships with VF People team (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and People Services) to deliver HR solutions aligned to key brand priorities.Act as a change agent for business transformation across the Dickies organization to drive brand growth and develop the future organization.Drive organizational design efficiency and alignment of talent; challenge organizational structure based on internal/external benchmarking; facilitate restructure plans as appropriate. Lead talent management practices including workforce planning, talent identification, talent mobility, succession planning, performance assessment, talent development and leadership coaching. Utilize talent analytics to assess talent and identify talent issues to proactively address future business needs and culture survey results.Lead brand initiatives, programs, events and communications to engage office, field and retail teams and elevate the employee experience. Advise leadership on VF Standard Operating Procedures to ensure fair and equitable application for all VF associates. Partner with employment counsel as well as labor and employee relations to advise management regarding employment policies and practices to ensure actions are compliant with legal requirements. Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+ years of Human Resources experience, including 5 years of managerial experience, with a broad exposure to multiple HR disciplines and/or HR Generalist role, along with:
A proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels, working within teams and individually – with a high degree of integrity and customer service.The ability to think strategically as to how practices, programs, policies, and services align and drive impact across the organization.Innovative thinking and a resourceful, creative problem-solving approach to business needs.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Prior experience working with Creative/Product/Retail teams, within a matrixed organization preferred.Hiring Range:
$142,560.00 USD - $178,200.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
