Director, IIS Customer Engagement Platform Portfolio

ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, IIS CEP Portfolio is a key partner to their assigned CEP leadership team Portfolio Sizing, Structure, and Targeting Team. PC CE is a critical team within the Insight Strategy & Execution (IIS) group, focused on the driving performance of brand and sales teams through strategy and orchestration of the analytics teams within GCA. This colleague will provide sales force sizing, structuring, targeting (SST) strategy, analytics, while consistent spearheading consistent customer engagement metrics across TAs. The Lead will work closely with the PC IIS CEP Team Lead and senior sales leaders, providing them with valuable SST analyses to improve customer engagement and drive business growth. Through this analytical support, the colleague and team will manager our portfolio reporting environment and portfolio aligned projects.

As part of the work to drive strategic field force planning, including determining the size, structure, and targets for the sales team, the Lead and team will work closely with the Field Force Analytics COE, Data Science, ISE partners, xSales Operations & Enablement, and Analytics Project Management team members to ensure the successful implementation of plans. This cross-functional collaboration is critical to maximizing Pfizer's investment in the customer-facing organization. Additionally, the leader will focus on operational efficiency and simplicity by streamlining processes, empowering the team to excel in their roles through enablement, and leveraging innovative thinking to gain a competitive advantage.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Enabler of the PC CE team:

Spearhead sales force sizing, structuring, and targeting (SST) strategy and analytics, for assigned teams

Owner for PC CE CEP customer engagement metrics and reporting

Responsible for leading portfolio aligned projects

Point of Contact and key CE business partner to the assigned team Sales and Account

Responsibility for collaborating with respective Sales, Pharmacy, Account Management Leadership

Lead field force sizing, structuring, and targeting analytic efforts in partnership with Commercial Analytics & AI teams:

Partner with Primary Care IIS CEP Lead on Strategic FF Planning and Deployment Considerations, including determining the size, structure, and targets for the sales team.

Lead analytical work to ensure approaches are consistent with strategy, collaborating with Field Force Analytics COE, Data Science leaders, ISE partners, and Analytics Project Management team members

Ensure the successful implementation of FF analytic plans, which are crucial for maximizing Pfizer's investment in the customer-facing organization

Rigorously measure and drive performance of the business:

Ensure business critical projects and initiatives are followed through by tracking progress against timelines and ensure key milestones are being met; help troubleshoot and de-bottleneck where needed​

Monitor sales force effectiveness (e.g., reps/ Pfizer Connect/ Navigators) and work with customer facing team leaders on operational enablement of teams ​

Collaborate with Analytics Engineering on customized analytical support to address key business questions as appropriate​

Metrics & Reporting

Track metrics and develop tailored dashboards by customer facing teams to drive business insights and action

Provide data input into brand/portfolio performance dashboards developed by brand/franchise teams

Enable Field Force Operational Effectiveness 

Provide planning guidance on changes in FF targeting, brand/mkt coverage, quarter or semester prioritization of customers as needed (i.e. new indication or product launches, pulsing of efforts based on strategic business goals throughout the year)

Identify operational synergies and areas of improvement to be more effective (i.e. Dynamic Targeting, IC design, systems enabling FF effectiveness such as iMap, next-generation DRA, CRM systems, coaching insights, E2E process improvements)

Continuous improvement for US PC Go-To-Market Transformation

Support FF adoption of digital tools/platforms, cross-pollinating customer facing best practices to enhance customer experience; identify areas of continuous improvement

Liaise with CMO and enterprise business partners to support adoption of the new/updated tools/platforms/capabilities, and share feedback from customer engagement teams as appropriate

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of pharmaceutical, Biotech, or consultant experience

High level of understanding of Primary Care Sales and Accounts landscape

BA/BS Degree required. MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced analytics experience, including FF sizing, structuring, and targeting analytics

Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting managing a team of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions

Strong Understanding of Pfizer In-line Portfolio, Roadmap, and Sales/Account Structure

Lead cross-functional and peer collaboration

Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities   

Foundation in data science preferred

Work location: Flexible; 2-3 days onsite/week

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
