The Director of Injectables Forecasting and Financial Planning will play a lead role in the forecasting process, driving alignment with cross-functional partners in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Customer Operations, and Finance to understand demand forecast drivers and ultimately to achieve industry leading forecast accuracy within the $800M+ Injectable portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, approving and accurately assessing product demand, while recognizing and analyzing trends in the market. This position contributes to the strategic vision and goals of the organization by objectively providing forecast recommendations and innovative solutions through robust and integrated analysis and modelling. Customer interaction needed to help support strategic decisions around customer/product decisions.
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute Commercial Injectable forecasting efforts across North America, working with Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations teams in supporting both short and long-term demand forecasts
Develop annual Sales budgets, with quarterly re-forecast updates to support strategic direction and drive informed decision making
Build and update the 5-year strategic business plan with collaboration from Finance and the Commercial Injectable team
Partner with cross-functional teams from Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations and Customer Operations to achieve one committed Sales plan aligned with demand forecasts
Utilize statistical modelling and latest available technologies to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results
Lead the design and creation of monthly forecast models to review and generate rolling 12-24 month demand forecasts
Identify and reconcile significant variances and refine the forecasting models to reflect updated Sales & Marketing assumptions, industry trends and market dynamics
Communicate demand changes to stakeholders
Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels) with Supply Chain; provide input in developing inventory strategies to minimize stock outs, backorders, short dating, and excess.
Facilitate forecast strategy and planning meetings with Commercial Injectable team reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals with an emphasis on market trends and/or shortages, quarterly focus products, and sales promotions
Review Failure to Supply claim approval and compile quarterly accrual file for Finance.
Direct Allocations team members to optimize product so that order fulfillment and responsiveness is maximized to customers.
Assist Sales Representatives and National Account Manager in the daily management of customer requests and product inquiries
Support customer discussions and represent Hikma’s production capabilities
Participate in customer discussion and strategy sessions.
Participate in Budget meetings and other meetings involving Sr. Leadership
Conduct customer segmentation analysis
Collect and analyze customer data to improve service, increase sales, and investigate non-compliance issues with customers
Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders built on trust, transparency and communication.
Develop and maintain best in class, standard forecasting methods, processes and tools.
Create, evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems
Perform ad-hoc analyses and requests
Qualifications:
Forecasting leadership with proven track record of successfully managing product forecasting for a broad portfolio
Strong analytical skills
Proven methodological skills (e.g. data analysis, trend forecasting)
Ability to conduct, interpret and present quantitative/qualitative analysis
Knowledge of business analytics and reporting
High degree of commercial and business acumen and strategic agility to challenge and drive consensus between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations
Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities under ambiguity and uncertainty
Strong problem solving and quality decision making skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum 10 years of Sales & Marketing planning experience within a large sales organization and with increasing degree of responsibility
Generic Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
Experience successfully leading, managing, and developing teams
A bachelor's degree in Finance or related field from a 4-year College or University
