As the Director of Emerging Experiences, you will play an important role on the experience innovation leadership team. This team encompasses emerging experiences, scaled formats, performance management, and evaluation. We design for the with an emphasis on completeness vs. competition within markets by creating purpose-defined stores.

As a dir., innovation strategy - Emerging Experiences, you will… 

Developing a repeatable innovation process for store formats and experiences—You will work with teams to develop breakthrough net new concept innovations and concepts that can impact existing pipeline and renovations. 

Lead format research to inform insights and opportunities for existing portfolio & innovation pipeline—You will focus on concept development to drive profitable trade area growth at scale, with speed, and on brand. 

Develop and optimize early format concepts that shape the ecosystem of our store portfolio. You will collaborate with teams throughout the organization to support our ability to scale future iterations that improve the partner and customer experience while creating a third place for the communities we serve. 

Innovate and expand store standards to create more accessible retail 

Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team while following Starbucks’ guiding principles 

Inspire and influence others around the potential of new concepts and store innovation–You will partner with teams within store operations, market planning, store development, and retail leaders to innovate for scale.    

We’d love to hear from people with:

Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional projects with significant financial impact and monitor people from multiple levels, 3-5 years. 

Experience in project planning, management, and delivery, including all elements of scope, time, costs, risk assessment, integration, and communications, 3-5 years. 

Working across functional business units to develop effective business solutions that align with company and business objectives, 7-10 years.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. 

 

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
