Director, Integrated Insights and Strategy (IIS) Lifecycle, IM/Migraine

ROLE SUMMARY

Pfizer is seeking a Director of Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) Lifecycle for Internal Medicine (IM)/ Migraine.  Reporting to the IIS Therapeutic Team Lead, this person will lead forecasting for Internal Medicine (Eliquis) and Migraine.  You will be part of the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) organization harnessing insights from multiple sources to develop, pressure test socialize and gain alignment across the commercial business brand forecasts.  You will leverage your deep functional analytic knowledge, exceptional intellectual curiosity, and proprietary GCA tools to every business interaction, while being an indispensable thought partner, influencing senior brand VPs and ensuring the highest quality work.

The ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record of high-value brand consultancy, responsible for framing, designing & executing solutions for challenging business situations.  In addition, they should demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to actively engage in the process of data analysis and problem-solving. They should be proactive in diving deep into complex datasets, going beyond surface-level summaries, to extract valuable insights. This hands-on approach will enable them to provide meaningful recommendations and drive impactful outcomes for the business.  They will have an in-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, with a keen understanding of output and quality/timely insight derivation.  Their team orientation and collaborative approach, along with their outstanding listening skills and ability to manage through influence, will enable their exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity to shine.  Their sophisticated executive demeanor and comfort functioning with senior brand VPs along with their excellent presentation skills, including strong verbal and writing capabilities, will drive their success.  As will their ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to influence and drive change at all levels in an organization.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Forecasting / Operating Plan Support

In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, act as lead for the development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans.

Coordinate forecasting activities with US, Global, IDM CO and Forecasting CoE colleagues.

Act as strategic partner to frame and translate complex patient flow into simplified model approaches used by BAI and commercial market colleagues.

Drive the creation of best-in-class epi- and trend-based forecast models in partnership with CoE colleagues.

Identify and analyze relevant analogs to inform forecasting

Leverage insights from all relevant sources to generate and defend forecast assumptions

Actively manage and oversee external vendors supporting forecast model/tool development

Review and enhance forecasts or strategic brand plans with strong expertise in ability to qualify and quantify the business opportunity, including communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership.

Ensure accurate effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.

Commercial Strategy and Execution Insights

Act as strategic partner to US and Global commercial teams to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions.

Develop and lead regular patient journey-based business reviews tied to budgetary goals (the forecast) to ensure cross-functional teams are aware of ongoing performance opportunities and suggest ideas for optimization.

Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of a brand's marketing campaign.

Play a key role in advancing the vision for the future direction of brand strategy.

Collaboration with Other Analytics Teams

Gather and analyze data from various sources, such as sales reports, market research, and digital analytics tools, to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to sales performance, customer behavior, and marketing effectiveness.

Generate data-driven insights and recommendations: Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for business strategy and decision-making. Present findings in a clear and concise manner, using data visualizations, dashboards, and reports, to stakeholders across the organization.

Lead dialogue to integrate insights across various cross-functional teams - data science, analytics engineering, market research, and media.

Actively contribute to advancement of team capabilities through thought leadership; seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform.

Alignment with other analytic teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders.

Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources including RWD.

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS in Marketing, Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering or similar related field required; MS or MBA preferred.

8+ years in consulting, finance or market analytics

5+ years at a high-value level (e.g., US & Global) developing data-driven brand strategy for major assets (>$1B)

Market research experience

Defined involvement in helping frame, design & execute solutions for challenging business situations

In-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, including primary and secondary data, with a keen understanding of output and quality/timely insight derivation

Proven track record of being an indispensable thought partner to senior brand leaders and influencing without authority

Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, a creative visionary who can drive innovation

Sophisticated executive demeanor, comfortable functioning at the highest levels of organizations; excellent presentation skills, including strong verbal and writing capabilities to communicate complex ideas effectively

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to influence and drive change at all levels in an organization

Excellent PPT, Excel and ideally Tableau skills

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
