Our global Internal Audit team’s vision is to serve as an essential business partner, promoting a culture of improvement and excellence across the global Wabtec organization. Our purpose is to strengthen Wabtec’s ability to create, protect, and sustain value by providing the board and management with independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, insight, and foresight.
How will you make a difference?
As a key member of the Internal Audit management team, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing a risk-based audit plan to assess, report on, and make suggestions for improving the company’s key operational, finance, and compliance activities and internal controls. The position will be further called on to identify and recommend process improvements, serving as a business partner and catalyst for change in a growing, increasingly dynamic Fortune 500 company.
The role reports to the Vice-President, Internal Audit and is a key leadership role within the IA department.

Develop and implement the annual audit plan for the Internal Audit function to evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes and controlsOversee and improve the organization’s risk assessment processes, identifying areas of potential financial, compliance and operational riskOversee the execution of performance, compliance, operational and financial audits in accordance with acceptable standardsOversee audit process and partner with colleagues to make advancements in execution of the function, with a strong interest in innovation and improvementMonitor the implementation of recommendations made in audit reportsIdentify, engage and manage third party subject matter experts when specific skills/knowledge is required (environmental, cyber, etc.)Work closely with external auditors to facilitate auditsResponsible for auditing and managing non-financial audits, including business practices and regulatory complianceServe as a resource for business units, providing support and advising when neededLead, mentor and develop the internal audit team, including developing succession possibilities within both the department and the organizationThis role is based in the Company’s world headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA and is hybrid remote (2 days) and in office (3 days).

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$117,900.00-$168,000.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
