A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Director, International Tax at MKS Instruments, Inc., you will partner with Corporate Tax and Treasury departments to managing the day-to-day operations of U.S. international tax compliance and planning. In this role, you will report to the Senior Tax Director- Global Planning.
This is a hybrid position located at our headquarters in Andover, MA.
You Will Make an Impact By:
+ Oversee the design and implementation of US and non-US tax strategies. This includes complex tax projects including reorganizations, acquisitions, divestitures, post-acquisition tax integration, IP planning, and other key tax initiatives.
+ Oversee the design and implementation of Pillar 2 compliance strategy.
+ Oversee and review all US corporate income tax compliance related to non-US operations including US tax forms, disclosure statements and elections.
+ Research complex international tax issues related to global tax strategy, M&A, tax accounting, and tax compliance.
+ Oversee the preparation of US international tax calculations of the Company including GILTI, BEAT, FTC, FDII, etc. and the impact of acquisitions or divestitures on the Company’s global tax profile.
+ Oversee legal entity basis calculations.
+ Assist in gathering information to support international aspects of IRS, non-US and state tax audits.
+ Collaborate with Treasury to develop efficient repatriation strategies.
+ Monitor US and non-US income tax legislation and continually evaluate the potential impact of tax developments to the Company.

Skills You Bring:
+ 12+ years of US international tax experience from a public accounting firm, law firm or large multinational corporation. Public accounting experience is preferred.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
+ Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance or CPA required
+ Extensive knowledge of US international tax principles.
+ Experience managing implementation of cross-border tax projects.
+ Strong oral and written communication capabilities, including the ability to relate tax concepts to non-tax colleagues.
+ Ability to successfully build effective relationships with external advisors.
+ Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills are required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Preferred Skills:
+ JD or LLM is preferred but not required

+ Operates in a professional office environment
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
+ Noise level in the work environment is usually average
*This position is a hybrid role requiring 4 days onsite weekly with the remainder able to work remotely. Candidates must live within commuting distance to Andover, MA.
