YOUR IMPACT

Reporting to the VP of Infrastructure, the Director of IT Operations will join a team of high-performing and collaborative professionals, working closely with the global delivery leadership to organize Romanian resources to deliver on and operate the infrastructure that drives OpenText global environments.

To execute successfully, the Director will work closely with varying stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors to ensure the Infrastructure Portfolio meets and exceeds the performance, availability, and quality objectives.

We are looking for an objectives-driven, hands-on leader who is detail-oriented, time and cost-conscious, and a talented innovator. You will demonstrate exceptional team building and the intuition to recognize and direct the varying elements of project and personnel demands that drive a successful technology company forward.


WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

Act as the multidisciplinary leader representing the Digital Technology COE and coordinate Romanian IT resources to work cooperatively with established CDO delivery organizations including Infrastructure and Network. Romanian CDO staff will report to this position as a local leadership resource but work cooperatively as part of the extended CDO team specific to the discipline they are hired for and through which priorities and projects are assigned.Organize and oversee skill measurement and provide training recommendations to ensure Romanian staff continue to develop themselves technically. This role will be a key resource in the attraction and retention of skilled IT resources.Ensure through performance measurement that our local Infrastructure and Digital technology teams deliver services, skill sets, and critical project delivery.Provide strategic direction and operational support for Infrastructure Services, including design, deployment, and operation. Ensure the performance, availability, and resiliency of the technologies underpinning the OpenText cloud.Participate in internal standard compliance audits such as PCI and SOC.Provide technical and project management leadership.Prioritize time against project lists in a dynamic environment.Perform reviews of standard processes to ensure processes are aligned with the business objectives. Manage, train, and develop staff, and ensure high levels of employee engagement and the opportunity for upward growth.Regularly assess the team’s compliance with established policies and procedures.Manage on-call rotations. Review time off requests. Conduct regular 1:1 reviews with team members.Assist with recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing team members and developing strategies for retaining top talent. 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

7+ years of demonstrated team leadership experience in a medium to large enterprise, preferably with an international presence.Progressive hands-on experience as an individual contributor in technologies such as virtualization, storage, and networking.Hands-on experience with general Infrastructure management and monitoring tools and services.Knowledge and effective understanding of key technologies and industry vendors, methods, and best practices in Enterprise technologies (compute, storage, data center, networks, Hyperscalar environments).Experience in developing and implementing IT services offerings, including scope development, implementation planning and execution, financial budget management and forecasting, and ongoing service line improvement and innovation.Strong awareness and experience in IT audit and compliance management (SOC, PCI, etc.).Must be able to lead teams through troubleshooting triage calls to resolve service-impacting incidents.Must be able to provide technical representation of issues and ideas in meetings with peers.Proven ability to manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.Strong experience managing and leading highly technical professionals.Ability to function rationally and methodically during periods of heightened stress.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with senior management, managers, and subject matter experts.
