Job Description:

The Boyd IT team is looking for an accomplished PMO leader to join its leadership team take our IT PMO organization, processes, and most importantly, the results they deliver to the next level.  We are looking for an individual who has been there, done that; has a bias towards action; a track record of impactful delivery; the maturity to balance the right academic answer with the pragmatism needed to instill and sustain the proper PMO disciplines; an affinity to attract and develop people; and the emotional intelligence to manage senior stakeholder relationships.  Initially this role will be primarily focused on traditional PMO and running the IT organization disciplines.  At the same time, we have a growing Product Management discipline that this leader will shape and evolve as well.

To summarize, this is not an “admin PMO” role.  This is a “drive results” and “develop the organization” PMO leadership role.  Must have a track record of delivery as well as developing others and being able to develop related PMO processes that get adopted and work.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the IT leadership teamOversee our Project, Program, and Portfolio management disciplines.  Responsible for driving execution as well as continually developing our capabilities in these areas.Drive accurate and timely reporting of our IT portfolio investmentsFacilitate overall IT Governance and Prioritization, including various intake mechanisms.  Build and mature our discipline in a pragmatic manner that works for Boyd.Drive the development and refinement of our resource planning and forecasting discipline.  As it sustains, will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating overall IT resource planning and forecasting for internal and external (e.g., staff augmentation, project, outsourcing, etc.) resources.Driving various IT disciplines and methodologies (e.g., project management, estimating, Agile Scrum) to drive proficient value creating delivery and ongoing supportDesign, develop, and continually enhance the PMO organizationDrive and sustain the processes to develop appropriate business cases for various levels of IT investment.Coordinating overall IT budget management and forecasting, operating expense and capital, with Finance business partnersLead our overall IT internal communications efforts such as balanced scorecard, major project portfolio summary, quarterly newsletters, department wide metrics, project business case results, IT updates for corporate intranet, etc.Serve as the IT focal point for IT vendor management, coordinating with Legal and Procurement.  Will drive various supplier disciplines such as scorecard reporting, quarterly business reviews for key suppliers, coordinating major RFP efforts, etc.Oversee and enhance our Business Relationship and Account Management (BRAM) programManage key service provider relationships.Over time, will work to develop organization change management capabilities in IT to leverage for technology initiatives.Serve as an overall IT ambassador and have senior IT business partner responsibilities for key company senior executives

Experience and Qualifications

Track record of delivery of complex IT projects, leadership role in efforts > $3 - 5MCustomer centric and value creating mindset.  Not interested in someone that does process for process sake.  Proficiency in traditional IT project management disciplines as well as current product management disciplines.Business acumen.  Understands fundamental financial concepts (e.g., NPV, ROI, DCF). Can gain understanding of what levers drive our business, can develop business cases and teach others to develop them.PMO visionary with pragmatic bias towards action Multiple full life cycle system implementation experiencesTalent magnet.  Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain key talent.  Ability to successfully work in a technology and overall ecosystem environment that spans leading edge innovators to embedded technology laggardsHave a strong bias for action and help infuse a managed sense of urgency within the PMO and broader IT organization.Experience managing multi-million dollar budgetsDemonstrated experience managing consulting firms, staffing firms, technology vendors, etc.Experience in the auto repair industry, retail, or field service industries a plusPrior experience with CCC a plusPrior merger and acquisition as well as acquisition integration experience a plus

Compensation Details:

$190,000 - $225,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
