Director, Legal Operations

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Director, Legal Operations, to help develop and run a world-class legal program. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.
The Director of Legal Operations is responsible for driving efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department. This individual contributor will report to the VP, Risk Compliance and Ethics, and will work closely with all areas of the legal organization. The individual will also work with various business areas, including information technology, finance, sales, marketing, and business development.
Role and Responsibilities
Create and manage the legal department's budgetOversee invoice approval and vendor onboarding processesDevelop and implement training programs for legal staffManage knowledge management systems and initiativesImplement and manage systems to create and track metrics, benchmarking, and reporting for the legal departmentOversee all legal technology, including selection, implementation, and ongoing managementCoordinate employee onboarding and offboarding for the legal departmentMaintain and improve legal forms and templatesHandle overflow agreement negotiation, primarily NDAsManage the legal intranet site and legal intake processCoordinate company-wide communications from the legal departmentManage Outside Counsel spend and relationshipsWork with Finance to manage SOX complianceFacilitate performance evaluation process by maintaining accurate job specificationsCoordinate and manage CLE/training initiativesPlan and coordinate global legal meetingsPlan and organize departmental eventsPerform other tasks as assignedSkills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in law, business, or related field preferred10+ years of experience in legal operations or related fieldStrong understanding of legal processes and technologyExcellent project management and organizational skillsExperience with budget management and financial analysisProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and legal-specific software (e.g., Ironclad, Diligent Boards)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentKey Competencies:

Salary Ranges:$192,700.00 - $277,300.00
