Position Summary

Directs and oversees maritime operations by optimizing logistical strategies. Coordinates port operations to ensure the growth and efficiency of global maritime activities.  

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

Provides leadership and analytical guidance toward achieving determined objectives by developing and providing strategies, analytics, and insights to the organization.Oversees route planning, capacity management, and fleet utilization to optimize delivery times and costs.Monitors forecasts versus budgets and identifies any gaps in the operations. Tracks, develops, and implements strategies for reducing costs and eliminating user errors or claims.Establishes systems and processes for measuring key performance indicators.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to coordinate schedules, provide status reports, and resolve discrepancies.Evaluates emerging trends, market dynamics, and competitive forces to inform strategic decisions.Negotiates and manages contracts with business partners.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.10+ years of international trade and global affairs experience.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management tools.
