Salary Range\: $100K - $110K

Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategy, Insights and Operations, the Director of Marketing Insights and Analytics is responsible for leading the Insights, Analytics, UX and Market Research functions within the division of Strategic Marketing and Communications. The Director will develop, refine and oversee an advanced analytics and insights-driven operation to shape marketing and communications strategies in support of strategic objectives and goals of the division. This role will be responsible for defining KPIs, key conversations and benchmarks to build appropriate dashboards to be utilized to generate reports that translate data and insights into actionable strategies to drive success. Over time, these insights will inform predictive modeling and business intelligence strategies to be led by this role. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree 
* At least 5 years of directly related experience in data analytics, insights or related fields. 
* At least 4 years in a leadership role.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

* Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
* Proven leader and collaborator who works to unify teams across functions.
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work.
* Superior organizational skills - must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.

* Prior experience in Higher Education and enrollment analytics.

Essential Functions
* Stewards, develops, and cultivates a data first, user-centered, market informed approach to all marketing and communications strategies and deliverables across the division and the university.
* Oversees the development of comprehensive metrics and research plans by key audiences and/or channels to actively monitor and synthesize data into insights to inform and optimize marketing and communications strategies.
* Designs and implements advanced analytics frameworks to evaluate the performance of marketing and communications activities including, but not limited to, brand sentiment analysis, web performance, media relations monitoring, advertising, internal communications and user related data.
* Manages external vendor relationships and contracts related to business intelligence, data and insights.
* Partner with teams across the division to ensure the consistent integration of research and analytics into broader marketing and communication strategies.
* Collaborates with partners across campus on data and insights related projects, workflows and analysis.
* Identifies and implements cutting-edge analytics tools and platforms to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency, keeping abreast of trends in data science and communication technology.
* Establishes and maintains policies and procedures for data and research operations including intake/requests and execution workflows.
