This position is responsible for leading the Marketing function at Petsense. This includes management of the dedicated marketing team and 3rd party resources/agencies as well as serving on the Petsense Leadership Team. This role will collaborate with the other members of the Petsense leadership team and counterparts at Tractor Supply to ensure that Petsense delivers on its marketing, customer and branding goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Leads, directs and delegates all marketing projects through the marketing team and various outside vendor partners. Sets strategic vision for marketing function in alignment with the overall business goals of Petsense. Responsible for developing and managing the marketing budget. Leads collaborative alignment with multiple cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Store Operations, Services, Human Resources and various external partners to execute fully integrated marketing campaigns. Manages all customer research, analystics and insights using internal and external resources as needed. Leads store signage and visual marketing in Petsense locations. Manages media mix across all media types in conjunction with agency implementation Manages the development of all marketing content including digital (email, website, social) and physical assets (billboards, circulars, direct mail, coupons) from various parties, including maintaining production schedule, and working with various stakeholders to coordinate production and proofing. Oversees accuracy and consistency of all produced assets Coordinate giving and cause marketing activities and associated public relations activities with Tractor Supply PR team. Develops and manages loyalty program in conjunction with key IT, marketing, operational and analytical resources. Maintains and communicates Grand Opening schedule for print circulars and signage with all relevant parties. Collects and distributes product selections to Merchandising for circular production. Organizes, schedules and directs weekly production meetings. Provides for the development of subordinates, specifically the identification and development through goals, the performance review process, succession planning, coaching, training and mentoring.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8 plus years of consumer marketing experience with heavy emphasis on retail marketing. Experience with brand driven consumer marketing companies a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree is a plus. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
