The Director, Marketing Operations drives the efficiency and impact of the company's marketing initiatives. This role implements seamless project prioritization, management, execution, oversees web development and the marketing technology stack to align with strategic goals. This position leads a team of project managers to deliver projects on time, and within available resources. Additionally, the Director evaluates, sizes, and prioritizes project requests across the organization, continually optimizing the marketing technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver marketing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines
• Identify risks and implement solutions to ensure timely and successful project completion
• Lead the Marketing team in improving operational efficiency
• Enhance the delivery of creative assets and implementing strategic initiatives to acquire and retain customers
• Develop and lead an effective prioritization process
• Define key metrics and set standards for marketing performance measurement, strategic planning, and process optimization to enhance growth and efficiency
• Create and execute a methodology to size the impact and effort of initiatives requiring marketing resources
• Set the vision for the Development Team and lead the implementation of digital tools (websites, apps, landing pages) to improve lead generation performance
• Manage external development agencies, including offshore resources, ensuring they meet the contract's scope of work and deliver on time
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of company websites, ensuring they are user-friendly, responsive, and aligned with brand guidelines
• Manage all aspects of web project implementation, including estimating Development Team resources, gathering requirements, setting timelines, and ensuring clear communication
• Drive a culture of performance, innovation, testing, fast failure, transparency, honesty, respect, fun, and grace across the team
• Lead the company's efforts in adopting responsible artificial intelligence (AI) practices, aligning them with compliance requirements and organizational values
• Drive compliance with ADA and W3C standards of digital products
• Oversee software licensing purchases and renewals in alignment with architecture policies and operating standards

• Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics.
• Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education / Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology or applicable field 
• Eight (8) years' experience with managing marketing technology, marketing automation, content management, and marketing resource management application 
• Experience leading complex marketing projects from inception to completion 
• Experience in marketing planning and strategy, business process design, marketing workflows, and behavioral marketing principles 
• Extensive expertise in website development and related technologies 


Skills
• Expert knowledge of Marketing and Admissions technology (Marketo, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager, Workfront, Wistia, Optimizely, Sitefinity, Google Search Console, LivePerson, SMS platforms, Sprinklr, and Microsoft Dynamics)
• Proficiency with Web reporting applications (ex. Google Analytics, Omniture, Web Trends, etc.)
• Strong understanding of project management methods and tools (Agile, Scrum, Trello)
• Understanding of web development processes and UX/UI principles
• Collaborate with development teams to provide customer-friendly digital experiences
• Online marketing best practices and conversion rate optimization
• Manage complex marketing projects from conception to completion
• Prioritize marketing initiatives based on business impact, effort, and resource availability
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), track performance metrics, and generate actionable insights to optimize marketing efforts
