Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or closely related field.
+ Minimum five years supervisory experience in higher education setting.
+ Team player with strong organizational skills.
+ Knowledge of import/export documentation & custom regulations.
+ Detail oriented and accurate.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments with little supervision.
+ Working knowledge of ERP application software.
+ Experience with forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols.
+ Effective communication and relationship building skills to effectively support and connect with various stakeholders and team members.
+ Experience working in an environment with shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
+ Experience maintaining a positive attitude, a professional demeanor, and exceptional communication skills in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
+ Certified Logistics Associate/Warehouse Distribution certification.
+ Certified Qualified Warehouse Logistics Professional ( QWLP ) certification.
+ Certified Warehouse Logistics Professional ( CWLP ) certification.
+ Certified Professional in Distribution and Warehouse Management ( CPDWM ) certification.
+ Warehouse Safety Certification.
+ Forklift certification.
+ Certified in production and inventory management ( CPIM ) certification.
+ Certified supply chain professional ( CSCP ) certification.
+ The Supply Chain Warehousing certification.
+ Certified Warehouse Management Professional ( CWMP ) certification.
+ Certified Professional Property Manager ( CPPM ) from National Property Management Association ( NPMA ).
Job Description
Responsible for accounting, controlling, and reporting all real and personal property belonging to Texas State University.
Job Duties
The director of materials management and logistics is responsible for central and decentralized receiving operations, warehouse operations and all office moves, set-ups & storage of materials; employee evaluation, recruitment, and retention; oversee the transfer of, disposal, and sale of surplus property; oversee the issuance, tagging, and accounting of all capital equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
