OVERVIEW

DaVita is looking for a Director to support DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC).  DaVita IKC is the renal population health management division of DaVita serving approximately 80,000 end stage renal disease (ESRD) and late stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients across the U.S. A key component of DaVita’s integrated care strategy is healthcare analytics, one aspect of which is identifying and analyzing opportunities to reduce healthcare utilization and cost outcomes, while improving overall patient quality of life through design and deployment of those strategies in our care model.

As a Director on this team, you will be responsible for developing and executing on strategic priorities to identify, analyze, and recommend approaches to Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) improvement across IKC’s portfolio of accountable kidney care partnerships.  This entails creating and executing analytic plans, developing materials to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, and managing an analytics team with the same focus. You will apply your technical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to aggregate and transform data, synthesize findings, and effectively communicate results. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to prioritize highest impact work, transform analytic insights into executable actions, meet deadlines through effective project management skills, and build a strong team culture of engagement and recognition.

This Director will partner with a diverse set of teammates and cross-functional teams within IKC and DaVita to identify, prioritize, and fulfill strategic analytic needs to support continued improvement on financial outcomes within IKC.

This role can be considered for remote/hybrid, but onsite is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and execute project plans that coordinate efforts across multiple collaborating teams (operations, clinical, compliance, finance)Sponsor development of analytics to improve performance of clinical and financial outcomes of IKC programs over timeMonitor clinical and financial outcomes of various programs and initiatives and communicate key takeaways to executive leaders and other stakeholdersPartner with Clinical, Operations, and Central teams to design, build, and enhance approaches that support collaborative population managementUse technical knowledge to identify innovation areas for utilization and cost reduction, including process improvement/automation, documentation, training, etcManage a team of managers and analysts; provide leadership and support through project management, prioritization, problem solving, coaching and professional developmentResearch industry standards and guidelines to inform approach and execution of analysesGain knowledge of healthcare concepts, including a robust understanding of kidney disease, claims and billing guidelines, and fundamentals of integrated care

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in actuarial, public health, health informatics, analytics, math, statistics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field3+ years managing a reporting and analytics team3+ years of experience using SQL and relational databasesExperience using data to drive strategic decisionsExperience using Tableau or other data visualization toolsExperience in healthcare claims analytics, and knowledge of medical claims terminology preferred

Salary/ Wage Range

$110,100.00 - $161,700.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
