JOB SUMMARY
The Dir, Multimedia Studio Ops, will be responsible for directing the development of video content for Charter’s internal and external communication needs. The Director will provide the creative vision, make content recommendations, and oversee technical production of video shoots in our corporate production studio and on location. The Director will liaise with senior business leaders to support communication objectives and provide expert guidance on video best practices.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for initiating, coordinating, supervising and executing all technical aspects of video productions in our corporate production studio and auditorium from initial concept development through completion
Oversee the content and execution of live, recorded and packaged video pieces
Technical direct and/or direct the audio and visual portions of live and recorded video through the use of automated production systems
Cultivate and develop ongoing relationships with business leaders to support a steady stream of video storytelling opportunities
Liaise to develop and implement on-brand voice, tone and production standards for digital communications videos
Maintain the organization’s vision by serving as an interdisciplinary creative partner between the function and other areas of the company
Formulate policies, procedures and requirements for content delivery and production
Manage resources and assets to ensure that content is created and delivered in accordance with established strategy and requirements; document technical procedures and processes
Optimize video pieces for internal/external syndication and social sharing
Provide a steady stream of content pitches and ideas; researches and recommends the use of emerging digital video platforms
Maintain video production schedule and deliverable timelines
Partner to create compelling multimedia content packages
Provide creative counsel and production support across Charter departments, where requested
Translate strategies for greater function into short-term objectives
Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Expertise in operating consumer and prosumer production cameras (e.g. Canon 5D, T4i, T2i, and Panasonic prosumer video series)
Expertise in the latest versions of video editing software, including Adobe Premiere
Technical directing experience
Graphics and animation experience, including Adobe After Effects, a plus
Demonstrated knowledge of the production process for local content, including studio set-up, remote production, editing and post-production
Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees, customers and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Demonstrated analytic, organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to focus on overall strategy
Proven team and relationship building skills
Proven leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
